Burner Comparison

The document compares the plant operation parameters of an old Pillard burner to a Jet Flex burner. Some key differences are: 1) The Jet Flex burner has a slightly higher fine coal consumption but produces clinker with a higher average LSF of 90% compared to 89% for the old burner. 2) CO levels at the preheater are slightly higher for the Jet Flex burner. 3) The Jet Flex burner allows for more stable operation even at higher than 90% clinker LSF and fuel rates, whereas the old burner was more disturbed under those conditions.

even feed reduced and high fuel rate
not controlled but now even +90% LSF
can be handled by increasing fuel.
