 RBI GRADE B 2019 – ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Age limit : A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained
the age of 30 years on the 1st of September 2019 i.e., he/she must have been born not
earlier than 2nd September 1989 and not later than 1st September 1998.
• For candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualification, upper age limit will be 32 and 34
years respectively.
• A minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PwBD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor's
degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th Standard examinations.
• The minimum qualifying percentage or an equivalent grade for the Bachelor's degree will be
in aggregate for all semesters / years
• In addition to this, candidates having masters’ degree with 55% marks will be allowed to
apply for the RBI Exam 2019. Equivalent CGPA/OGPA/CPI or similar Aggregate Percentage of
terminologies allotted on a 10 point scale Marks

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Pay Scale: Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 35,150/- p.m. in the scale
of Rs. 35150-1750 (9)-50900-EB-1750 (2)-54400-2000 (4)-62400 applicable to Officers in
Grade B and they will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local allowance, House Rent
Allowance, Family allowance and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time.
At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments are approximately Rs. 75,831/-(approx.)
Perquisites: Bank's accommodation subject to availability, reimbursement of expenses for
maintenance of vehicle for official purpose, newspaper, telephone charges, book grant,
allowance for furnishing of residence, etc. as per eligibility. Free dispensary facility besides
reimbursement of medical expenses for OPD treatment/hospitalization as per eligibility.
Interest free festival advance, Leave Fare Concession (once in two years for self, spouse and
eligible dependents). Loans and Advances at concessional rates of interest for Housing,
Vehicle, Education, Consumer Articles, Personal Computer, etc.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
RBI Grade B Selection Procedure Consist three Level.
Online Preliminary Examination (Objective Test).
Online Mains Examination (Objective & Descriptive Test).
Personal Interview.
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) are not added
for the selection.
Interview (50 marks): Candidates were shortlisted for the interview, based
on an aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III).
Candidates were given the option to opt for interview either in Hindi or
English.
