Layher double couplers with screw connection meet the requirements

of coupler class BB. They can thus also be used with under-mounted
coupler, in a so-called double coupler connection „BB-BB“. In this case,
the higher slipping force FS of class BB can be used. If the Layher dou-
ble coupler is used as a single coupler, it has the same properties as a
double coupler of class B. In both cases, the stress capabilities of Class
B apply for the coupler resistance values FP, MB and MT.

Use

The Layher double coupler according to EN 74-1 with screw con-

nection can be used equally on steel and aluminium tubes. The
scaffolding tubes to be connected must have an external diameter
of 48.3 mm. As regards the minimum wall thickness and minimum
yield strength, the provisions of EN 12810-1 apply for system-linked
scaffolding tubes, and the provisions of EN 39 for system-independent
steel scaffolding tubes.
