Hold: QA/QC organization shall be noticed of the timing of inspection or test in advance.
Inspection or test shall not to carry out without QA/ QC organization representative in attendance.
Witness: QA/QC organization shall be notified of the timing of Inspection or test in advance.
Inspection or test shall be performed as Schedule if the QA/QC organization representation is not
Present.
Surveillance: QA/QC organization monitoring the work in process without notice from
Construction organization.
Review: Review and approval all documents.

2. What is NCR?
Non conformity report (NCR): A record reporting a variation from specification requirements.

3. What is schedule Q?
Schedule Q stands for Owner’s minimum quality requirements for contractors/sub-contractors quality system.

Weld mapping is the process of assigning information to a weld joint to enable easy identification.
21. What is LBE?
On construction sites, the inspection logbook is the initial method of Communication with SAPMT
(communicating violations verbally with SAPMT should precede the logbook entry if practical). The
inspection logbook is utilized to record
a. Violations observed against the requirements of project documents, Company standards and procedures, or
applicable codes.
b. Inspection observations and comments.
c. Job clarification, recommendations, or any information deemed necessary, Such as the specific location of
the violations on the jobsite. (SAEP- 1150)
22. What are the general requirements for test manifold and fittings?
Pressure testing manifolds were separately pressure tested to at least 1.2 times system test pressure.
Pressure rating or designs of test manifold components (isolation valves, pipe nipples, and fittings) exceed
system test pressure by 20%.
A blow down valve of adequate pressure rating is installed to depressurize the system safely.
Test piping, fittings and hoses are designed or have adequate pressure ratings that match or exceed system
class/ test pressure.
Paddles or spectacle blinds & other fabricated test items used to isolate test sections are at least the same code
class rating of systems under test.
23. What is SIS?
Safety Instruction Sheet. That gives a full design details related to a piping system or line.
24. Why perform hardness & impact test?
Hardness test: The application of hardness testing enables you to evaluate a material's properties, such as
strength, ductility and wear resistance.
Impact test: Is used to determine material behavior at higher deformation speeds.
25. What is Sour and Non Sour Service?
"Sour Service" refers to a well environment containing Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), which is hazardous to human
health and could significantly impact steel drilling tubulars performance. It is well known that H2S is
hazardous. to human health, living organisms and generally to the environment.
“Non Sour Services” are those which do not include this harmful substance. Examples include, Vallourec
which offers a large range of OCTG High Collapse grades, specifically to meet the most challenging collapse
conditions of well-environment as well as load cases scenarios.
26. Water quality Analysis?
In Water analysis we check the PH Value and chloride content of water. For CS the PH Value is 7.5 ±5 and
chloride < 250 ppm. For SS the PH value is 10.5±5 & chloride < 50 ppm.
27. What is punch list?
List of unfinished work or mismatched item according to the drawing and specification.
1. To be done before hydro test.
2. To be done before MC
3. To be done after MC but before commissioning.
4. To be done before plant acceptance.

Level-iii- Same as level-ii, except that in progress surveillance shall be on regular basis (daily, weekly or
biweekly).

Stacking of pipes shall be made in a manner to avoid damage to pipes or Coatings. Refer to (SAES-H-200)
Fittings and valves shall be stored in shipping crates or on racks.
End protectors on pipes, flanges, weld bevels, threads, and socket ends shall be firmly attached.
Stainless steel material shall be protected against exposure to seawater splash
During shipment and storage. Refer (SAES-L-350).
43. How will you manage the material traceability?
All the Pipe material before cutting material specification should be transfer like Heat N0, ID No,
manufacturer Code, Grade and thickness on cut peace by the permanent marking system.
44 If you are going to weld pipe with header how to identify piping specification?
All material should have the material specification system by the permanent marking on both branch pipe and
header. If reinforcement pad required than Header pipe should be use.
45. Define the hypostatic test?
Hydrostatic Test: A pressure test conducted using water or other approved liquid as the test medium.
46. What is INCR when will you raise INCR?
Internal non-conformance report, when anything violates project specification standard and Code.
47. What is Material Receiving Inspection?

Dry lay-up may be achieved using several different drying media. These include hot dry air, controlled dew

gelled scraper. The best results may be achieved by using a combination of these techniques. (SAES-A-007).
