 Lead and organise the vendor support required for the mechanical rotating equipment
packages and other utility packaged skids on assigned systems.

 Take a lead / system owner role in the commissioning of systems/subsystems assigned in


accordance with the commissioning procedures and commissioning and start-up schedule,
co-ordinating the various disciplines, and ensuring all disciplines reach assigned targets as
per system completion schedule.

 Direct the work performed by subcontract labour and technicians under their control.
 Assist Vendor servicemen with their commissioning activities.
 Raise site materials requests (SMR's), technical queries (TQ's) field instructions (FI's) for
activities where necessary and livening up notices (LUN's) where required for energizing.
 Compile relevant documentation to support handover and acceptance of systems to
Operations Group.
 Ensure that the mechanical & piping content of the dossiers is accurate and complete
before they are accepted from construction and before they are submitted to operations
department.
 Developing project SC documents and providing input into SC strategy documents
 Provide discipline input to the SC project plans and schedules
 Lead executing systems tasks and activities, and development and reporting.
 Lead the execution of commissioning procedures for assigned discipline systems.
 Provide daily, on-site/in-field leadership, execution coordination of a multi-discipline team of
discipline supervisors.
 Interact with Engineering and Operations team for input and draw from past experience and
knowledge when executing procedures.
 Acceptance of Mechanically Complete Sub system packages from Construction
 Punch List management and responsibility of offered Sub systems / Systems
 Advanced knowledge in Systems Completion and Commissioning, Completions Management
Systems
 Working with project HSE leadership to develop appropriate Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) for the
SC team and SC activities.
 Read, interpret and work from vendor documentation, project drawings, schematic diagrams
and equipment manuals.
 Attend key equipment factory acceptance tests.
 Requisition parts and supplies and maintain spare parts inventory.

 Implement the Quality Control Intervention points on the Inspection and Test Plans, ITP
(Surveillance, Witness, Hold Point and Record Review).
 Review of P&IDs and Isometric drawings.
 During surveillance on job site, if found any concerns or any deviations from the project
specifications, advise the contractor and sub-contractor inspectors to rectify and follow the
project specifications.
 Ensure the pipe spools, valves, flanges and fittings should be proper storage and handling.
 Verification of all materials conforms to the color-coding as per project requirements.

 Tolerances of dimensions, bevel, root gap, root face, flange rotation, flange tilt are adhered to as
per designed standards.
 Issue and prepare NCR and or SURVEILLANCE Reports as the case may be to ensure quality
requirements will be maintained.
 Dimensional and alignment checking of piping as per approved Isometric drawings. Line
checking of piping, punch list carried out conforming to ISO, P&ID and project specification prior
to test.
 Visual inspection of the fit-up joints and as per approved WPS.
 Verification of alignment, orientation and dimensions of installed piping.
 Visual inspection of support fit-up as per isometric drawing.
 Cross checking Isometrics with Plan & P&ID drawings.
 Referring codes, standards and company specifications.
 Check all the dimensions and orientation mentioned in the drawings.
 Inspection of Valves installation.
 During valve installation verify HP, LP and Vent point to install as per P&ID
 Review the isometric drawings & P&ID and other circuit diagrams in the test packs to identify the
pipe lines and carry out the inspection work.
 Carry out Line punching during the Test pack internal review and verification of spool & flange
alignment & orientations, pipe guides, pipe supports, drains & vents etc.
 Review of Hydro Test package before releasing for hydro-test
 Punch list and reinstatement activities.
 Give clearance to test package to QC department after all punch list clearance.
 Line hydro test walk down with QC of client.
 Witness of piping internal cleaning prior to hydro-test.
 Inspection of filling & pressurization prior to hydro-test.
 Visual inspection test pressure during hydro-test.
 Witnessing & ensure that depressurization & disposal of hydro- test water was done in
accordance with applicable standard.
 After Hydro-test give clearance for flushing & drying.
 Monitor calibration of test instruments such as pressure gauges, pressure relief valves to make
sure that they were properly calibrated and with valid tags & certificates.
 Check flow direction arrows on valves; verify that the properly identified valves are installed in
accordance with the flow diagram.
 Give piping re-instatement punch list after drying & flushing.
 To check proper Bolt tightening and tensioning activities as per specification.

 Inspects work site to determine sequencing and method of pipe installation and survey for
potential hazards or safety concerns.
 Coordinates and supervises daily activities of each group.

 Inspection of Tanks fabrication and erection such like as Cone type, Heavy Slope Roof Tanks as
per API 650.
 Foundation and level check, Bottom plates lying and check foundation level.
 Inspection of Shell plates erection vertical and horizontal joints, nozzles, stairs and plate form.
 Responsible for the inspection of Pre- and Post-welding.
 Visual inspection of welding.
 Execute all NDT (RT, MT, PT, and UT) according to API 650.
 Vacuum Box Test (VBT) of Bottom welds.
 Oil Penetrant Test (OPT) of Bottom to Shell welding.
 Pneumatic Leak Test (PLT) of reinforcement pads.
 Peaking and banding inspection of welds and plumpness of tank according to API 650.
 Checking of the pipeline material, fittings, joints & bonding, cutting, fit-up, repairs activities for
the piping.
 Having knowledge of international codes & standards.
 Knowledge of the PWHT for tank nozzles.
 Knowledge of Blasting and painting inspection of the tanks.
