Project Proposal
The proponent has conducted a survey and gathered information in Purok Saludin,
Barangay Labangal, General Santos City and as result, they found out that the
community has a problem regarding the increasing number of out of school (OSY)
engaging inhalant Vulcazeal and parents used their time in gambling. Hence, the
connect project conceptualized with the help of the community to develop and be
productive regarding on the problem by connecting and developing their strength. In
order to resolve the problem, the proponent proposes to organize the out of out of
school youth and parents into community volunteer to be a helping hand to achieved
healthy community project. There will be series of training to be undertaken on the
target client.
At the end of the project implementation, the community of Purok Saludin will
have its well-trained community volunteers, and active and participative youth in
promoting peace and development in the barangay.
X. Project Objective:
The implementation of this project is through organizing the youth and training
for parents by the ACM Group to the residence of Purok Saludin Barangay Labangal,
General Santos City, after the said organization and , the group will be facilitated the
training on peace and development, healthy lifestyle, personality development and
drug awareness for target OSY’s and time management training for target household
parents for the purpose of achieving the participation of youth and parents manage
their time well and engage in community activities.
The project will support the inhabitants’ interest and willingness to resolve their
problem on increasing number of OSY’s inhaling vulcazeals; facilitate them to be more
productive in their way of life, community and let them appreciate the value of time.
Hence, its feasibility will be the availability of parents in youth during the said
activities.
The proponent monitors and evaluate through follow up visitation and meetings,
reports from the purok leaders, documentation and certificate.
The partner agencies, City Social Welfare and Development, Barangay Council and
Purok council will ensure the functionality of organized group by continuing the plan
of activities of youth.
