PREFACE

This portfolio is written for all NSTP students to serve as a valuable

resource providing new perspective and information that will enhance thier
knowledge and understanding in NSTP immersion. NSTP immersion is being
done to address a specific needs of a community.

I am Sayrel E. Pailago, taking up bachelor of Science in Social Work at

Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges-Marbel, Inc. I want to be a registered
Social Worker someday to help people especialy who are in needs, advocate
individual for them to be aware in thier problem personal, family, nor
community and I want to be a worker with passion to help. On the other
vantage view Pat Williams inspired me through his book the Difference You
Make, helping Us change our world through the impact of our change.

. We all know that the waste every year increaseses as people around
the world are likely to dispose of things wether they are recyclable of not.
Moreover, a lot of people are still irresponsible with the disposal of their waste
as they leave their garbage everywhere or pile it up on some sides.

In line with this, this project could help the community of Baranggay
Saravia especially the Purok Maharlika in terms of solid waste management.
This project will colaborating with the Baranggay and Purok Officials to ensure
the progressive, effective,success, and beneficial to the community. It is done
on March 16, 2024. This project aims to value clean and green to improve the
environment visually and inspire others to reflect on thier actions.

First and foremost, we give praise and thanks to Almighty God for
showering us with blessings throughout our NSTP2 Immersion and its
successful completion of activities.

To our NSTP2 adviser, Sir Richard S. Pareno, LPT, for his invaluable

We also want to thank you for the empathy, patience and knowledge you
gave us. It was a great privilege and honor to work and study under your

II. RATIONALE
This program aims to clean the surrounding of Purok Maharlika,
Baranggay Saravia. A sustainable nation through generation can simplify the
importance of cleanliness not just to get rid of the trashes but also to
appreciate and beautify the surroundings.

It also aim to advocate the citizen of Brgy. Saravia to reuse, reduce,

and recycle waste to mitigate environmental pollutions and public health risk
in the community. Furthermore, this program aims to address the challenges
posed by increasing waste generation and the negative impacts of improper
waste disposal on ecosystem and human health.

III. OBJECTIVES:

The following are the objectives of the activity:

a. Cleaning up and removing litter, waste and some debris especially in

public areas of the community in order to make it clean and visually
appealing.
b. Raising funds through the collection and sales of recyclable materials
to support further environmental activities like gardening.
c. Creating a positive psychological impact by demonstrating a clean and
well-maintained environment, which can encourage others to keep the
area clean.

IV. EXPECTED OUTPUT

Participants are expected to participate well in such program. They

should actively contribute to cleaning, fostering community engagement
during clean-up drive, and at the same time they’re expected to promote
environmental awareness just like recycling some waste materials, and do
proper waste disposal.

Implimenting this project the participants are not only doing such
cleaning and picking garbage but to enjoy, have fun, learn some things to use
in the future, and most especially to make friends and memories to remember.
