The road of having a successful project like this was never been easy. We started from choosing a number of projects that can be useful to our society; we
give our own different opinions and come up first with a project about teaching traditional values among children. We've done far, In fact, we're almost done
with our proposal and some already go to Barangay Sto.Cristo, Bahay at Yaman ni San Martin De Porres and conduct a survey in order to see what can be the
best location where the project could be held, but then we realize that it wouldn't impose great impact on children since they already know values so we
decide to change our project.
We chose a project once again but this time there we're only two options first is to impose dengue awareness and second is to help prevent and disseminate
information about teenage pregnancy. We voted and majority chose the latter, so we agree and started making our proposal.
Making the proposal is somehow challenging to us, since it has been rejected and subject to revision for at least twice but we push it through and never gave
up on it. We made revisions and improvements about the project until finally it has been approved and we could already start our project entitled Not Right
Now: Put Teenage Pregnancy on Stop.
We chose Barangay Sto Cristo as the location, and the mother leaders as our respondents. We've been divided into two groups in which we will do our
assigned tasks alternately or every other meeting. We have been given our own roles and responsibilities and we've already been instructed on how we
should do our own tasks.
At the first day, we have the introduction and lecture about the causes of teenage pregnancy, and then we had a game entitled Witty Mommy
Then the second day, we also had lecture about the effects of teenage pregnancy, we watched a documentary entitled Nanay na si Nene by Sandra
Aguinaldo then, one of my classmates had her testimony about her life having a single parent and the respondents too, had their own share of thoughts.
On the third day, we also had discussion about precautionary measures about teenage pregnancy, we had a question and answer portion mostly about the
precautionary measures and government implementations with regards to early pregnancy and lastly is we conduct a game namely Fan Me Up. The game
let us realize
And on our fourth and last day, we had our culminating party and thanksgiving for our respondents who willingly listen and attend to us every Saturday.
Some dance while other sang a song and show off their talents. And we have different games like Catch the Egg, Kantaririt, Fill me Up which was enjoyed
not just the mother leaders, but all of us.
To sum it up, implementing this project was a long road to finally reach its destination, but in the end all the hard work and efforts are paid off, and its all
worth it, really worth it.
