Instrument Panel

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings
in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious
personal injury.

2. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging (412-00 Climate Control
System - General Information, General Procedures).

3. NOTE: If equipped.

Refer to: Air Cleaner (303-12B Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) -
Sigma, Removal and Installation).

4. NOTE: If equipped.

Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

5. NOTE: Make sure all openings are sealed.

Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

WARNING: When releasing the cooling system pressure, cover the coolant expansion tank
cap with a thick cloth.

Torque: 21 lb.ft (28 Nm)

24. Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

25. WARNING: Turn the ignition OFF and wait one minute to deplete the backup power supply.
Ignition must remain OFF until repair is complete. Failure to follow this instruction may result in
serious personal injury or death in the event of an accidental deployment.

 Turn the ignition off, wait at least one minute.


 Disconnect electrical connector.

38. NOTE: Make sure not to damage the instrument panel when removing the instrument panel from the
vehicle.

NOTE: Make sure that all electrical connectors and wiring are not hindered before removing the
instrument panel or damage to the components may occur.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

2. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
