C. Motivation

Before we proceed to our new topic, I have here a

simple activity an individual activity to be exact.
And it’s entitled “ah-answer please”. In this activity
all A’s become Z’s, B’s become Y’s, C’s become
X’s and so on. Now all you have to do is to search
the hidden message and decipher the code. That I
will be posted later on.

Here are the reversed alphabet letters.

A B C D E F G H I J
Z Y X W V U T S R Q

K L M N O P Q R S T
P O N M L K J I H G

Exactly!
We have four types of speech according to delivery.
The manuscript speech, memorized speech,
impromptu speech and extemporaneous speech.

Now, let’s start with the manuscript speech.

I have here a video example of manuscript speech,
watch it, to we to know what is manuscript speech.

(Play the video)

Now, based on the video what do you think is

manuscript speech?
Yes, Patrick? Ma’am based on the video the manuscript speech is
the speech that has a script, reading by the speaker.

Precisely!
Manuscript speech is the word-for-word iteration of
a written message. In a manuscript speech, the
speaker maintains his or her attention on the printed
page except when using visual aids.
Understood class? Yes, Ma’am!

The next type of speech is memorized speech.

Again watch the example video od memorized
speech to find out what is memorized speech.

(Play the video)

Ok class, based on the video what is memorized

speech?
Yes, Princess? Ma’am the speaker memorized his/her speech not
unlike the manuscript speech.
That right!
Memorized speech is the rote recitation of a written
message that the speaker has committed to memory.
Or the speaker memorized his/her speech.

So, do have any question?

our topic? Yes, Jemie? Ma’am the importance of our topic is to know how to
deliver a speech and how to prepare during the
presentation of speech and also to know the
advantage and disadvantage of different types of
speech according to delivery.
Very good

How about you, Michael?

What have you learn to today’s discussion? Ma’am I learn about difference between the four
