COURSE INFORMATION
1. COURSE NUMBER : IT 141
2. COURSE TITLE : Capstone Project
3. COURSE DESCRIPTION : This course is an output-oriented which, student is expected to apply the skills, methods, and theories learned
particularly on requirements gathering, system analysis and design, documentation creation. Also, the students will actualized the development of IT
Projects that requires them to apply their skills in software engineering, computer programming paradigms, systems analysis and design, other related
areas, and documentation. In particular, students need to perform the project development by using the chosen specific software development process, IT
technologies, computer programming paradigm and platforms. The Capstone Project has different stages, it starts with the proposal stage then,
development stage and the last one is the final implementation stage where projects are evaluated by the panel members. The students must be able to
present different deliverables during the different stages identified.

Class Standards and Policies:

1. Attendance will be checked in the beginning of the class (preferably 15 minutes after the class starts).
2. The use of cell phones including texting during class hours is strictly prohibited.
3. No assignments/research works will be accepted when the due date is already over no matter how close the submission time is on the scheduled deadline.
4. Failure to take the exam or submit the project due to a medical emergency, an official medical form or record that proves your illness must be submitted to
the instructor in order to reschedule an exam date or the project due. However, if you cannot take the exam or submit the project for any other reason,
please notify the reason to the instructor as soon as possible.
5. An absence during the day of the exam is not allowed except if there is a valid reason (SEE CLASSROOM POLICY #4). However, the student is required to take
it within 3 days after the exam. Unable to do so, a 0 grade will be given to him/her. It is the same that goes with the submission of the project.
6. In case of absence due to a medical emergency or any other VALID reason, submit an excuse letter or an official medical form that proves your illness to the
instructor. Otherwise, the student will be marked as ABSENT.
7. PARTICIPATION POLICY: Before the class starts, there will be an activity to be done whenever a new topic is introduced. With this, each student is required
to do some advanced readings on the topics to be discussed. Students will be called randomly and the result of the activity will be recorded as part of the
student’s class participation grade.
8. Cleanliness inside the classroom must be properly observed.
9. Students are required to ask if necessary.
10. Respecting each other is a must.

12. No talking and using of cellphones during exam or quiz.
13. CHEATING IS A MAJOR OFFENSE. ANYONE CAUGHT CHEATING DURING EXAMS/QUIZZES WILL BE DEALT WITH ACCORDINGLY.
