UNDER DECK INSULATION PRE FAB SHEET.

1.0 PURPOSE:
The purpose of this procedure is to establish a uniform, predetermined and controlled
methodology for supervision of Under deck insulation prefab sheet work at site to
ensure that, proper quality control is implemented at site.

2.0SCOPE
This procedure covers methodology and control of related documentation for
installation of under deck insulation sheet over soffit of RCC slab & beam vertical
(except vertical wall).

3.0 AREA OF INSTALLATION :


The procedure is applicable for building area as below:-
1. Substation Building (Refer Drawing details applicable for provision)
2. Analyser Lab building
3. Security Cabin (SRP)
4.Security Cabin( RWP)

4.0 ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY:

4.1 Project Manager:


Organize & Manage all resources
Responsible for overall quality & safety
Ensure that completion of the contract within agreed time&cost

5.2 Construction Manager:


Ensuring the execution of work as approved procedure
Arranging the materials/plants a required
Coordinate with the client during work inspections
Certifying the subcontractor bill
Coordinating with quality & safety departments to ensure the site QHSE

5.3 Site Engineer:


Execute work as approved procedure
Prepare the materials required
Ensure conducting all activities to meet the cycle time requirement

Frontline supervision of the working labour to ensure strict conformance


methods quality& safety

5.4 P&M Engineer:


Ensure continuous availability at P&M at site
Ensure periodic preventive maintenance & timely breakdown repairs of all
machineries & electrical equipment’s
Ensure operation of P&M as per company norms

5.5 QA/QC Engineer:


Inspection of factory/production unit visit of the material collect
samples&conduct tests & ensure conformity with specifications &standards
Conduct routine tests on material &workmanship as per ITP for conformance&
maintain record
Receiving and reviewing of all reports related to quality matters.
Coordinating for early disposal of non-conformity reports
Submitting Inspection reports coordinating with client & site teams for
conducting the site inspections & closing the inspection reports

5.6 Safety Engineer


Identify potentially unsafe acts areas & implement practice measures & educate
staff & workers
Investigate unsafe occurrence & initiate corrective steps
Discuss near miss accidents with staff & workman

5.7 Safety Supervisor


Monitor SHE practices, persuade to minimise noncompliance
 Report incidents beyond control & unsafe occurrence .

5.0 Pre- Requisite:
Product Specifications:
Approved Manufacturer supplied materials Shall only by used.
Manufacture inspection for under deck Insulation Sheet:Approved.
6.0 List of equipment’s and accessories:
The following materials and equipment shall be required for carrying out
the surface preparation and installations.
Hand gloves and other personal
Protection accessories.

7.0 Procedure ( SequentialActivites)


7.1 General:
i. Before installation of Under Deck insulation prefab sheet surface need to be
cleaned. (Soffit of RCC slab, Beam bottom & Beam vertical adjoining with RCC
slab.

ii. Making holes in pre fab sheet for fixing at right location by using electrical tools.
iii. Fixing of prefab under deck insulation sheet by using dash fastener for retaining
with RCC slab/Beam.
iv. Fixing similar to site as per attached photos of exiting MPT plant for Vedanta
shall be referred. No any post jointing & sealing will applicable in the Under
deck insulation fixing procedure.

7.2 Inspection before and during fixing of Under deck insulation


sheet:

7.3 Surface preparation and installation:


The surface of fixing shall be cleaned by wire brushing.
Fixing of panel in sequences only.
8.0 Acceptance criteria:
Installed surface shall have in line as per visual appearance.

10.0SCAFOLDING AND STAGING:

Staging/scaffolding will be properly planned and designed. Only steel tubes with clamps
shall be used for the purpose. Sufficient number of horizontal and diagonal Braces shall be
provided to make scaffolding very rigid. The scaffolding will be erected to plumb. The
adjustable bases will be provided to compensate for uneven ground. Care will be taken to
ensure that all bolts and nuts, clamps/couplings are firmly tightened to avoid slippage. Base
will be completed to take care of the scaffolding load.

11.0SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Approved procedures for health, Safety & Environment plan will be followed to comply the
Cairn standards requirement the following precaution and measures will be taken care of:

1. All employees working within the battery limit will wear personal protective
equipment.
2. All employees will confirm & follow company’s Health & safety policy Environment
policy, HSE plan and also Cairn Environment policy and plan.
3. All the critical areas will be cordoned using red and white colour zebra tape.
