A. Project Title: A PROPOSED TWO STOREY COMFORT ROOM

F. Project Brief Executive Summary:

This project is a Two-Storey Comfort Room to be constructed in Western

Mindanao State University, San Jose Rd, Baliwasan Zamboanga City with a total cost of
1,500,000 PHP and expected to be completed within 180 calendar days (March-August
2019). The proposal was lodge as a publicly notified proposal with 1200 submissions with
1185 in support, 12 in opposition and 3 in neutral submission.

Having reviewed, the submission and the specialist assessments it will surely result
in actual and potential environmental, social and economical and profitable effects that are
acceptable; and that the proposal is generally consistent with the objectives, policies and
assessments relevant to the proposal.
 PROJECT PROPOSAL PROPER

A. Introduction

The COMFORT ROOM has a major role for individuals especially for students, it is the
only room for releasing the excess amount of toxins in a human body. With the use of Comfort
Room the students and other university personnel will have a proper location where to urinate or
even to release the waste product in their body.

WMSU COMFORT ROOM is the most controversial place in our University besides of its
known smelly environment it is also said to be the reflection towards the reputation of our
university. For that reason we are in task of maintaining its cleanliness because we are the one
using it. And as a student of one of the popular university in the city, we must have a proper or
basic knowledge on how to use a university comfort room properly.

B. PROBLEM

WMSU COMFORT ROOM was constructed years ago and the design of its comfort rooms
were outdated.

These are the following problem of the CR

-Some toilet bowls are clogged

-Some sinks are broken

-Mirrors are broken

-Lock and Door Knobs in the doors of the cubicle

 C. Objectives

The main objective is to ensure the needs of the students in terms of cleanlines, comfort
and satisfaction. The following triggers the target:
1. To make a clean and cozy comfort room
2. Give more privacy for the male and female students or faculty members by
relocating their urinals
3. To ensure the construction of a secure and well-built structure

D. Significance

This project will help to satisfy the needs of the students and faculties of using a comfort
room. From this project it aims more at its highest standard as possible.

1. Gathering of Needs Close consultation with the Engineer Experts

2. Site Selection and Contracts / Survey plan prepared by special Engineering

Document Reviews and Revision Construction on the land provided by the
owner to certified correct with original seals
and signature of the contracts that include the
following: Soil test, Supply Lot Sale
Agreement, Supply Construction
Agreement, Supply Contract Plans, Supply
Contract Site Plan, Secure Financing, and
Construction Loan Settlement.
3. Grading and Building Permit This may File Grading Permit
Application, File Grading Permit
Application, Install Sediment Controls¸
County Permit Process, Building Permit
Approved, and Pay Permit Fees and Excise
Taxes
4. Area Development/ Site work / Working in clearing lot, strip topsoil and
Foundation stockpile, excavate in preparation for
foundation. In foundation may do layout and
dig footings, installation, stock block,
mortar, sand, and lastly build block
foundation.
5. Rough Carpentry From this we set steel and the framing for
first floor deck and first floor wall and
days after we frame the second floor deck
and floor wall. It includes the setting of
roof trusses, frame roof, installation of
windows and doors etc.

6. Plumbing, Electrical and The installation of electrical service

specialty Rough-ins panels, plumbing inspections and rough
ins together with audio, communications
and alarm systems.
 7. Architectural and structural The installations of hardwares, mirrors
works / Floor plans / Elevations / and glasses. Roofing, insulation, drywall,
Structural Details Floor finishes, painting, interior trim ,
exterior landscaping, Electrical final
trims, etc.
8. Installation of toilet bowls and The final inspection of the building,
urinal bowls, Final Punch-outs, trimming and adjusting doors, cleaning
Final Inspection and Final Walk- for windows and rough cleanings,
Through installation of the units and Final walk
through.
