EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Note: The respective subject/allied discipline should be as in the Table-I of Schedule I of the MCI-
“Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998.”
Experience:
Note: The Transitory period of 4 years with effect from 24 th July, 2009, the appointment or
promotion to the post of Professor can be made by the institute in accordance with the Medical
Council of India – “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations,
1998” as prevailing before notification of Medical Council of India-“Minimum Qualifications for
Teachers in Medical Institutions (Amendment) Regulations, 2009”.
OR
NOTE (1) The experience should be recognized by the MCI or the statutory body concerned with
the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate thereof or any
other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted and a certificate to this effect is to be
submitted.
NOTE (2) Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer
shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of
the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.( Holders of educational
qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions
stipulated in Section13 (3) of the Act.); and
(ii) A Post Graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS (Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery)
or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/ allied discipline.
(iii) For Dentistry: A Post graduate qualification i.e. Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or a
recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.
Note: The respective subject/allied discipline should be as in the Table-I of Schedule I of the MCI-
“Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998.”
Experience:

For SUPER SPECIALTY DISCIPLINES:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
(I) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II
of third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act 1956. (Holders of educational
qualifications included in Part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions
stipulated in section 13(3) of the Act; and
(II) Magister Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) for Surgical Super Specialties and Doctorate of Medicine
(D.M.) for Medical Super Specialties (2 Years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course)
or qualification recognized equivalent thereto in the subject/or specialty as in the
Table-II of Schedule I of the, Medical Council of India “Minimum Qualifications for
Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998”.
EXPERIENCE:
Two years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in a recognized medical college in

(a) For the candidates possessing MD/MS (Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery) Degree
from MCI recognized medical colleges: Three years teaching experience in the subject as
Resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor in a recognized medical college either during the post-
graduate course or after obtaining postgraduate degree in the subject.
(b) For the candidates possessing DNB qualification from MCI recognized medical
colleges/central institutes where the no MD/MS course running:
(i) Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college either
during the DNB course or after possessing DNB qualification.
(ii) The concerned candidate would also require one year of additional
teaching/research experience in the concerned subject in a recognized medical
college after obtaining DNB qualification.
(c) For candidates possessing DNB qualification from MCI recognized medical colleges/Central
institutes where there are MD/MS course running:
Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college either during
the DNB course or after obtaining DNB qualification.
(d) For the candidates possessing DNB qualification from centres other than of MCI recognized
medical colleges/central institutes:
(i) Three years teaching experience in the subject either during the DNB course of after
possessing DNB qualification.
(ii) The concerned candidate would require two years additional teaching experience as
Senior Resident/Research Associate (CSIR) in a MCI recognized medical
college/central institute.
(e) ‘Research Experience’:
(i) For the candidates obtaining DNB qualification from centres other than MCI
recognized medical colleges/central institutes, the concerned candidate should have
minimum two publications (accepted/published) in the index journal
(National/International as first/second author)
(ii) In case The Concerned Candidate does not have the required publication, he/she
must have a total of three years teaching experience in a recognized college/institute
after possessing DNB Qualification.
(ii) M.Ch.( Magister Chirurgiae) for Surgical Super Specialties and D.M.(Doctorate of
Medicine) for Medical Super Specialties (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized
course) or qualification recognized equivalent thereto in the subject or DNB
qualification and other qualification specialty as in the Table-II of Schedule I of the
Medical Council of India-“Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical
Institutions Regulations, 1998.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Recognized specialization in the subject i.e. recognized by the Medical Council of
India.
2. Three years teaching experience in the concerned specialty in a recognized medical
college as resident or Registrar or Demonstrator or Tutor.
NOTE: The qualifications regarding experience in respect of the Scheduled Castes and the
Scheduled Tribes candidate are relaxable based on the guidelines issued by the Government of India
from time to time.
2. The retired Government Officers shall be paid emoluments in accordance with the rules in force as on date.
3. Other Candidates appointed on Contractual basis will be paid Pay at the initial stage i.e. Initial Pay of the relevant Pay band
plus Grade Pay and other allowances as per Rules of the Corporation.
4. Eligible Candidates who are working in the Central/State Government may also apply and attend for the interview, Their
candidature will be considered ON DEPUTATION/LIEN/SABBATICAL and the rules of deputation in force will be
applicable to them on selection to the post. A copy in advance directly may also be submitted for consideration.
5. Pay as on date i.e. Pay in (Pay Band + Grade Pay + NPA @ 25%( as admissible)(as per 6th CPC) in different categories is
as Under:2
D. TERM OF CONTRACT:-
Selected candidates shall be appointed on purely contractual basis for an initial period of one year extendable for another
one year subject to requirement and satisfactory performance. OR till regular incumbent join duty in the specialty
concerned whichever is earlier. Extension beyond Two years or on attainment of 70 years of age whichever is earlier shall
not be given.
E. HOW TO APPLY:
The application along with Annexure( two sets) is to be submitted, by Speed Post only to The office of the Dean,
Academic Block, ESIC Medical College Sanathnagar, S.R. Nagar, Hyderabad -500038 on or before 23.01.2017 upto
4.00 PM.
Mode of payment: -
A Demand Draft of Rs.225/-(as applicable) in favour of ‘ESI Fund Account No. I’, drawn on any branch of SBI payable at
Hyderabad has to be submitted along with the Application Form.
Note: - i. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
ii. Only Demand Draft drawn on any branch of SBI valid for three months will be accepted. Application
Fee paid by any other mode will not be accepted.
iii. The Demand Draft must be drawn on or after the date of this advertisement.
iv. Separate Demand Drafts to be paid if candidate applies for more than one post
How to Apply: -
Two sets of duly filled and signed Application Form in the Proforma appended below along with self attested copies of certificates
are to be submitted within the time stipulated as mentioned above at col. “E”
The following testimonials should be attached with application form (Two sets):
(a) Recent self-attested passport size photograph firmly pasted on the application form.
(b) Self-attested copies of certificates and testimonials in support of proof of age (Date of Birth), Educational Qualification,
Experience and Research Papers etc.
(c) Self-attested copy of Community Status Certificate in the prescribed form in case of candidates belonging to reserve categories i.e.
SC/ST /OBC(OBC certificate must be in Central government Proforma obtained within one year span for consideration of
reservation.)
(d) The duly filled in application forms along with Annexure and all relevant self attested certificates and D.D. should be
submitted on or before 23.01.2017 upto 4:00 PM by Speed Post. The Applications received after last
date will not be considered for interview and selection. ESIC will not be responsible for any postal delays.
(e) The list of applications received will be uploaded in college website i.e.www.esicmchyd.ac.in on 24-12-2016 by 4.00 PM.
(f) The Applicants should produce Original documents in respect of their age, educational qualifications, experience, caste etc., for
verification at the time of Interview.

NOTE 4: Candidates are requested to report by 9 AM at the venue on scheduled dates along with all the
Original certificates, 2 copies of passport size photographs and the relevant certificates issued by the
competent authority in the Form prescribed by Government of India, Department of Personnel & Training
for consideration of reservation to the reserved candidates. Failing which they may not be allowed for interview.
The results will be declared and displayed on the notice board at the end of the day of interview
by 8.00 PM.
General Conditions:-
(i) Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate for selection.
