2) What about taking / take the SIM card out and drying it?
3) Could you taking / take it back to the shop?
4) Can you claiming / claim in your insurance?
5) You could trying / try that.
b) Complete the responses with the words from the box.
1) A: How about just leaving it until it dries out?
B: I’ll give it a try. What have I got to lose?
2) A: why don’t you try drying it with a hair dryer?
B: That’s worth a try, but would the heat damage the phone?
3) A: Shall we phone Mark and see if he has any ideas?
B: Yes, why not? He might know what to do.
4) A: Let’s go to the phone shop and ask for advice.
B: That’s a great idea. They should be able to help.
c) What solutions can you think of for these problems? Make notes.
1) You missed your bus home and the next one is in an hour. It’s raining.
In this case, I’d call my parents to take me, and if they can’t do that, I’d wait somewhere
nearby with a roof over my head.
2) You don’t have any ideas about what to buy your friend for his birthday.
Try to find out what they like and according to this I’d buy what he likes.
Another thing I’d also do is a ask a mutual friend to help me see what to buy from his.
3) You’ve spilt coffee on your shirt and you have an important meeting in 20 minutes.
In this occasion if I were at home, I’d change my shirt, but if were somewhere else I’d try to
remove the stain by taking my shirt a quick wash.
4) The battery your phone is low and you need to kame an important call in an hour.
If I had the charger I’d find a place to charge my cell, but if didn’t, I’d turn off until it was
time of call.
