Assessment site
The assessment task is due on the date specified by your assessor. Any variations to this
arrangement must be approved in writing by your assessor.
Submit this document with any required evidence attached. See specifications below for
details.
Performance objective
In this task, you will undertake a number of steps to plan improvements in your workplace, set
efficiency targets, and plan to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of your
improvements. You will also need to implementthe improvements as well as the monitoring
and evaluation strategies.During this task, you will also be required to support and supervise
co-workers or team members to assist them in implementing your improvements.
Assessment description
This task will require you to analyse current workplace policies, objectives, practices and
resource usage to plan for effective improvements. You will use the information you have
collected in Assessment Task 1 to set efficiency targets. You will then plan a method of
measuring, monitoring and evaluating resource usage. Throughout the process, you will need
to seek suggestions and feedback from stakeholders and collect information from a range of
sources to plan your improvements.
In the second half of this task you will follow a number of steps to support a work team to
implement your planned improvements. You will use techniques and tools to: effectively
implement changes; support team members in adjusting to changes;and monitor the progress of
your changes against efficiency targets.
In Assessment Task 3, you will use the information you have gathered in this task to report on
your outcomes and identify where further adjustments to your improvements need to be
made.Make sure that you keep your own copies of documents and information in a safe place
so you can use them in Assessment Task 3.

Assessment Task 2 BSBSUS401 Implement and monitor environmentally sustainable work practices
Procedure
1. Consult with stakeholders (e.g. team members and customers) to ask for suggestions for
sustainability improvements. Write a brief summary of the results of the consultation.
Ans:
After consulted with stakeholders that we got suggestion for sustainability
improvements, we got really good feedback from them that they concern about
environment in the workplace. We did the brainstorm to get an idea for our organisation
and get everyone to involve with the plan. Some staff suggested that we could get some
rewards for each staff do the best practices for sustainability to show up other staff to
change unsustainable behaviours. We should schedule regular monitoring the process
and auditing resource to up to date for our organisation, also report if something going
on or need to be fix must be report immediately.
2. Using your process maps, resource measurements, the outcomes of consultation, and
the information you collected in Assessment Task 1, identify two improvements that
will increase your work team’s resource efficiency. For example, you may decide to:
a. 1. decrease resource usage
b. 2. use alternative sources of power
c. use alternative raw materials
d. decrease waste produced
e. recycle waste
f. use recycled raw materials.
3. Using your process maps, resource measurements, the outcomes of consultation, and
the information you collected in Assessment Task 1, set efficiency targets by filling out
the efficiency targets plan (attached).
Ans: answer is down below attached
4. Develop an implementation plan that sets out the actions you will use to implement,
monitor and evaluate changes.(This is an example of applying a ‘continuous
improvement’ approach to sustainability performance.) You may find it helpful to fill
out the implementation plan template attached.
Ans: answer is down below attached
5. Source one technique or tool that will help your work team achieve efficiency targets
(e.g. a trigger nozzle for reducing water use; recycling bins; a procedure for a new,
sustainable practice; an online resource; a monitoring checklist).
Ans:
A trigger nozzle for reducing water use; all leakage in the tap should be fixed or get a
water-saving tap head. It will save the water usage.
6. Use the efficiency targets that you developed in Assessment Task 1 to develop targets
for your team.

7. Hold a meeting with your team to explain the changes that will be implemented and the
tool or technique you will be using to implement the changes. (This communication is a
form of applying a ‘change management’ technique.) For context, you may outline
common and energy efficiency issues within your industry. You may also outline
organisational systems and procedures such as supply chain, procurement and
purchasing, quality assurance and making recommendations and seeking approvals.
Take notes during or after the meeting to submit to your assessor.
Ans: Questions to ask:
• Is there a better way this activity could be done?
• How can we do it more efficiently?
• Are there any wasteful or redundant elements to this activity?
• Is the activity achieving what we want it to?
• What would we have to do to improve the process?
• How can we ensure the change will be successful and improve performance?
Improved work practices and processes should be immediately incorporated into
existing policies and procedures. Staff should be made aware of any new procedures
linked to an improvement. Depending on the breadth or complexity of the policy or
procedure, this might be done through an email, an intranet article, notices in the office
or factory or in an information session.
8. Measure and document the resource use (preferably using the same methods as in
Assessment Task 1 where possible) as changes are implemented for the duration
determined in your implementation plan, or as long as is required to determine changes
in resource use. You may want to use the environmental monitoring table provided.
Ans: answer is down below attached
9. Submit all documents to your assessor as per the specifications below. Ensure you keep
a copy of all work submitted for your records.
Specifications
You must submit:
● a brief written summary of the results of the consultation
● information about the tool or technique that will assist your work team in implementing
the changes (such as product information if you are using a product, an external source
of information summarising the tool/technique, a draft of a new procedure, or a
template for measuring resource use)
● evidence of support you provided to team members, such as meeting notes, response to
emails, a third-party report
● your measurements of resource use, such as completed environmental monitoring
tables.
