essay, artwork, and other graphic representations.

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:

1. Identify the 21st century trend for learners.

2. Describe the characteristics of a trend.

3. Discuss why the 21st century learners like/least like the emerging trends.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: 1.3. Characteristics of a Trend
Materials: Laptop,Board and chalk
Resources/References: Trends, Networks, and Critical Thinking in the 21st century by Gladys P.
Mangiduyos, Page 3-9, Page 87-105.

III. Teaching Procedure


A. Daily Routine (5minutes)
 Prayer

 Greeting the Class

 Checking of Attendance

 Checking of assignment

B. Priming
The teacher will ask about the previous topic: What are the causes and consequences of a trend?

C. Motivation
The students will group into three and they will arrange a puzzle different trends that the 21st century
learners enjoys nowadays. The students will explain why those pictures makes a trend.

D. Lesson Proper
THINK
How can you say that the product or services becomes a trend?
DISCUSS
The students and teacher will share their insights about the characteristics of a trend.

IV. Application
ACT
The students will group into three and then they will fill up the Circle of a trend.
1. On the upper right hand corner , write one emerging trend
2. On the lower right hand corner, write the things about a trend.
3. On the lower left corner, write the things why it becomes a trend.
4. On the upper left hand corner, write the influence of that trend on 21st century learner.

V. Generalization
REFLECT
The group will present their output to the class and then they will make their reflections about
today’s topic.
VI. Evaluation
Which among these random words do you like most? Rank by putting 1 as your most like and 10 As
your least like in the blank. Discuss why you like the 1st rank and discuss why you least like the last rank.
