ACTIVITY 2.
Revisit the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) found in the LDM2 Course
Overview. Reflect on your self-assessment from Activity 1. What particular professional
standards in the PPST do you need to focus on to effectively use the LDMs in relation to the
content and pedagogy of the learning area/s you are teaching? Write your answer and other
insights in your Study Notebook. To guide your answers, you can also refer to DepEd Memo No.
50, s.2020 on DepEd Professional Development Priorities and the Continuing Professional
Development Guidelines.
Answer:
- The Content Knowledge and Pedagogy domain is what I have to focus since based on
the Professional Assessment Questionnaire, I only got “Agree” level which indicates that
there are still lot of things to work on in terms of teaching Mathematics through different
Learning Delivery Modalities. In addition, I also have to focus on the Community
Linkages and Professional Engagement domain as it is really vital to have a strong
communication and relationship with the guardians of the students as well as the LGU
officials. They will play a key role in the new normal of education as they will serve as
the learning facilitator and guide in the absence of my presence.
ACTIVITY 3.
Answer the following questions by constructing and filling out the table in your Study Notebook.
How do you envision your teaching practice in the next few months as you use the LDM adopted
by your School? What is your goal in terms of your teaching practices in the modalities? What
motivates you to achieve this goal? What do you think will help you attain this goal?
Add as many rows as you need for your answers.

ACTIVITY 2.
Study the Reading on Portfolios from the Glossary of Education Reform. Based on your reading, reflect
on the following questions and jot down your answers in your Study Notebook:
1. How will your Portfolio help you in tracking the progress of your teaching practice in your
School’s LDM?
- With the help of portfolio, I can have reflection and realizations about where to focus and
improve. By seeing my works, accomplishments and outputs, I am able to track my progress in
my teaching practices with regards to the adapted LDM of our school. It also let me discover the
flaws and problems that might emerge and learn different intervention to apply in order to solve
them.
2. What evidence from the previous modules will help capture the progress of your teaching
practice?
- The following are evidences from previous lessons that help capture the progress of my teaching
practices.
Individual Development Plan – this evidence helps me determine my strength and
weaknesses and help me decide of the intervention I can do to develop them.
Unpacking of MELCs – this evidence helps me in planning lesson effectively for me to
have a clear path forward in the lessons.
Weekly Home Learning Plan (WHLP) – this evidence helps me on how to communicate
with parents effectively. With WHLP, students and guardians who will serve as learning
facilitator will have a clear path on the things they need to accomplish. This will save
more time and work.
Individual Learning Monitoring Plan (ILMP) – this evidence helps me on assessing
students who doesn’t meet the deadlines and required goals. It also helps me customize
learning resources to meet the student’s need and demands.
- Reflection is an integral part of my Portfolio, as it let me mirror the quality of outputs I’ve made.
It also summarizes the insights and experiences I have gained for the entire course. Reflections
also lead to realization. After seeing the compilations of the outputs, you’ll realize your strength
and weaknesses and will lead you to a conclusion on where to focus and improve.
• Write down your answers and other insights in your Study Notebook.
- Teacher Portfolios provide documented evidence of teaching from a variety of sources—not just
student ratings—and provide context for that evidence. A teacher can outline his or her
accomplishments within their portfolio in order to gain a higher-level position in the work force.
- Teachers should also compile materials relating to how their student’s performed in the
classroom and how the educator contributed to their growth. Samples of student’s work with
feedback from the teacher show how the pupils have performed over a given period of time and
how the instructor dealt with individual situations. A teacher should also include any student
journal submissions that have been compiled over the school year. Scores on tests, department
exams, and national exams should also be included to reflect the success of the educator’s
classroom methods. In addition, any classroom tapes or videos showing how the teacher went
about his or her methods are always a good way to build rapport with others who are looking
over a teaching portfolio.

ACTIVITY 4. In your LAC Session, discuss your answers and thoughts on the questions from Activities 2
and 3 with your colleagues.
ACTIVITY 5. Based on the sharing and discussion in your LAC, finalize your list of evidence in the List
of Suggested Evidence Form and submit to your LAC Leader. Make sure that you keep a copy for
yourself.
ACTIVITY 1. Study the criteria and indicators found in the Evaluation Rubric.
• What steps will you take to ensure that you are able to hit the criteria in the Rubric? Write down
your answers and any other thoughts about the Rubric in your Study Notebook.
- These are the steps I should take to ensure meeting the criteria in the Rubric:
1. Read carefully and understand well the different criteria in the rubric
2. By understanding the rubric well, I can decide on the content of my portfolio
3. Make sure that the content or goal listed is achievable.
4. Identify the problems/hindrances that may occur and think of the solution beforehand
5. Find alternatives
6. Select feasible strategies.
7. Collect evidences
8. Organize well the evidences.
9. Make sure to finish the compilation of evidences before the due date.
ACTIVITY 2. Discuss and share your thoughts on the Rubric in your LAC Session. Present your steps to
make your outputs and Portfolio responsive to the evaluation criteria and indicators. Take note of
your colleagues’ other insights as well.
- In our LAC sessions, each teacher from different department shares how they managed to
collect student’s output regardless of the number of students. Here’s the list of strategies they
make to ensure the collection of evidences.
Assign a leader to monitor the outputs of the member.
Record the output immediately then let the student’s guardian make note or sign on it so
they are aware of the score of their children and let the student paste it on a big notebook.
Make use of checklist and folder to compile the output with guardian’s signature. It lets the
students know what output they are lacking.
Make use of notebook with list of output in the first page. All the work to accomplish is
written or pasted in the said notebook.
