In The News
In 2012, a Miami homeowner found a baby
crocodile on their porch. The baby croc and
two others were thought to be suspicious
looking so they had blood samples taken and
found they were all Nile Crocodiles. One was
released in the Everglades for scientific
documentation. Two years later they
recaptured the female croc and found that
not only did she survive, but she grew 28
times faster than she would in Africa
General Knowledge

the eggs have been layed
● Females nest during November and
December on sandy shorelines, dry

in captivity

● They live in rivers, freshwater marshes,
estuaries, and mangrove swamps in
Africa
