Swami Vivekananda said, “We want the education by which
character is formed, strength of mind is increased, intellect is
expanded and one can stand on his own feet.”
PCCCS is one of the fastest growing college in PCMC area having present students
strength about 2000 with more than 60 faculties.
Dr. Deepak Shah, the Secretary of KES is the best professional administrator &
entrepreneur. He is running the college as a social service and it is his passion &
mission to provide quality education to the students by providing high-class
Infrastructure of classes, Libraries, Labs, Gymnasium and to keep campus clean.
PCCCS is well known college in PCMC area for arranging Job Fair, Corporate Week,
Soft Skill Development courses etc. which open number of opportunities to the
students for creating Job awareness and placement of students.
PCCCS results are good and students are taking the full advantage of Co-curricular
and Extra-curricular activities for their Personality Development. NAAC has
assessed and accreditated our PCCCS college in 2015 with Grade B & CGPA 2.60,
which is a proof of quality and excellence in higher education.

Message from the Principal
Pratibha College of Commerce and Computer Studies is a
leading and shining institution. It is well known for its fabulous
achievements within a short period of ten years. I feel proud to
write that PCCCS is running post graduate courses like M. Com
and M. Sc. (CS) and undergraduate programs like BA, B. Com,
BBA, BBA (IB), BBA (CA), BCA (Science), B. Sc. (CS), B. Sc. (Home
Science), B. Sc. (Regular) and many add on courses. Moreover
PCCCS has more than 60 eminent faculties which take utmost

efficient non teaching staff is our asset. At present PCCCS has
more than two thousand hard working & smart students.
With these credentials PCCCS works round the clock through different committees,

sports, scientific attitude, excursion, personality development, soft skills,
placement etc.
Apart from teaching learning and extension activities many teachers have
registered for Ph. D. and also publishing research papers in reputed journals. The
performance of the students in various university examinations is ranging from 80-
90% which is leading towards quality and excellence in higher education. We aim to
create our students a cutting edge which will bring success in the emerging
competitive world. Integrated development of students will not help them in
generating knowledge, acquiring skills, developing attitude but also help them in
becoming best of the human beings with meaningful living.

Course Outline
Department of Commerce
The department of Commerce comprises of subjects viz. Accounting & Financial Management,
Banking, Business Economics, Business Management, Costing etc. We also draw Faculty Members
from Department of English, Statistics, Mathematics, and Law. Our students regularly participate
in various academic, extension and co-curricular activities. It has a vibrant and active Commerce
association which regularly conducts different kind of students' activities and community outreach
programmes. The distinguished speakers are invited to deliver talk from time to time. Our task is to
help students grow deep root of our tradition and catch the sunshine of modernity.
Bachelor of Commerce - (B. Com) - English Medium
Instructions:
§ There will be examination conducted by SPPU at the end of each semester for 70 marks. 50 marks for
practical subjects like Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Banking, Auditing and Taxation.
§ 30 marks are internal which a student has to score from assignments, class tests, seminars and attendance.
There is separate passing for internal and external examination for each subject. If a student fails in internal
or external or practical exam, he will be considered as failed for the subject.
§ The result sheet will contain grades and not marks.
§ Minimum passing criteria is 40%.
Only Third Year B. Com. will be run under 2013 annual pattern in the academic year 2020-21 (Popularly called as 20-80 pattern).
Instructions:
§ Term end examination will be conducted at the end of the first term. This will be considered as internal
evaluation based on 20 marks.
§ University examination will be held at the end of the academic year 2020-21 as per the time table prescribed
by the SPPU.
§ Practical examination will be conducted for 20 marks each for the subjects viz. Cost & Works Accounting II and
III, Banking & Finance II & III, Auditing & Taxation. Schedule for oral examination will be provided by the SPPU.
§ A student has to get minimum 40 marks to pass any of these subjects.

Department of Management
Department of Management has the flagship programmes. It has become a much sought after
course for the best and brightest brains as it offers lucrative and assured career prospects. Our BBA
programme is characterized by a unique blend of core management courses and specialision in
marketing and finance. It is designed to train the students to take up the administrative,
managerial and entrepreneurial challenges of the industry and the emerging service sector. The
programme, based on industry driven curricula, aims to prepare and equip the students with
analytical, strategic and policy making skills in a collaborative learning environment through
interactive classroom sessions, case presentations, role play ,group discussions and exposure to
real life situations.

With the Industrial Liberalization and Globalization of trade and emphasis on global markets, there
is a great scope for employment as well as self employment in international business dealing with
variety of innovative products and services. Great scope also exists in International Logistics,

Department of Science
A Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) degree is offered across a range of subjects. It focuses on science and
technical-based subjects. The Science Faculty's undergraduate curriculum is organized according
to key disciplines, viz. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics, Botany, Zoology and
Environmental Science. The course is taught by the faculty to ensure the exposure of the students to
the latest research, monitoring skills and techniques in their respective field.
Instructions:
§ Marking scheme for First year and Second year: Int. 15 marks + Ext. 35 marks. third year: Int. 10
marks + Ext. 40 Per Semester.Practical: Int. 15 marks + Ext. 35 marks per semester for FY & SY.
§ Passing: FY & SY: Min 14 marks in external exam in each head of subject; Total of Int. & Ext. should
be 20 and for TY: Min. 16 marks in external exam out of 40 in each head of subjects and total of int.
& ext. should be 20.

Department of Arts and Humanities:
The humanities and the arts are very close to human beings. It is at the center to all human cultures throughout time.
The study facilitates deeper intercultural understanding and lay the groundwork for a civilized life. Arts Faculty
prepares an individual to think critically, act creatively, and succeed in a rapidly changing world. They explore what
makes us human through the study of languages, cultures, histories and ideas. This faculty promotes the attitude of
research, to explore various untouched and untamed secrets of universe. Moreover, it teaches an individual to be a
humane.
Ours is a very new branch but we are fortunate to have innovative teachers and students. They work for community
building. They explore hidden talent in an individual and give a good exposure to it. An overall personality
development of the students is done through this faculty of Arts and Humanities.

Campus
The sprawling campus of Pratibha College of Commerce & Computer Studies is spread over 2 acres of land
set amidst scenic surroundings at Chinchwad. The spacious well designed multi storied buildings with
modern ambiance. The college has well furnished modern state-of-the-art labs and workshops on par with
all standards. The extensive educational infrastructure of the institution includes a well stacked library,
canteen, indoor and outdoor sports facilities and Amphi Theater. Ample opportunity is provided for
expression of talent, personal and individual development through extra- and co-curricular activities.
Convocation
Another important event in the calendar is the convocation ceremony. The students who have graduated
in the previous academic session are given their degree certificate by a noted personality. The purpose
behind holding annual convocation is to inculcate a sense of institutional pride among our students
through a public recognition of their achievement and also inspire them to strive for greater goals in life.
The occasion brings together students and teachers to strengthen bonds within the fraternity.
n Anti-Ragging
Ragging in any form (Teasing, Abuse, Physical Torture etc.) within or outside institute is strictly prohibited
and punishable according to the Government of Maharashtra's Anti ragging Act 1999. The Punishment is
to the extent of two years rigorous imprisonment and/fine of `. 10,000/- .
n Drug/Alcohol Policy
According to the law & rules & regulations of UGC & University PCCCS Students are expected to abstain
from Drugs, Cigarettes, Gutkha, Pan Masala etc. and Alcohol during their tenure at the college. Violation of
this policy will lead to Cancellation of Admission and legal action.
n Compulsory Attendance
College strictly follows attendance rules and does not allow the students to appear in the examination who
have shortage of attendance. Daily SMS is sent on Parents mobile number about their wards' attendance.
n Identity Card
Students shall always wear their valid college Identity card whenever in the campus or while representing
the college at any other Institute/college. Further, it Shall be produced whenever demanded by any of the
Institute Staff.
