C&I IES Overview

The document provides an overview of the functions of an Integrated Engineering Station (IES). The IES allows users to program logic, perform online testing, configure system architecture, and perform online maintenance. It includes tools for system building, user definition, logic programming, tag editing, graphic editing, consistency checking, delivery to HMIs, and monitoring logic. The IES requires login for tool access. Programs are downloaded to controllers via C-NET and tags and graphics are delivered to HMIs via I-NET. HMIs must be restarted after a delivery for changes to take effect.

Overview for IES Function

1.Programing function
Programming is enabled when creating a logic chart with the use of
dedicated CAD. Programming tasks such as addition and
modification can be performed easily.

It is possible to configure control parameters without knowing

the setting ID number by directly specifying a control parameter in
numeric values to the corresponding
Macro symbol.

The use of a TAG Macro for transmission

allows for the easy creation of
a transmission program to the HMI.

Logic charts and other types of charts

can be printed in a register able format
(by LBP).

2.Online test function

A drawing that has been created is displayed as it is in the logic
monitor. Numeric values are displayed in a real-time manner.
Whether a digital value is enabled or disabled is indicated by a line
with different colors. This makes it easier to verify the operation
of logic.

It is possible to change Macro code

configuration parameters
while performing logic monitoring.

It is possible to set the data in lines while

displaying a logic chart. This makes it easier to
verify the operation of logic.

The online program change of just one Analog : Black(value)

specific loop is possible while another loop is Digital : Red(On)
being executed. Green(Off)

3.System architecture function

System architecture data can be configured simply by
specifying required items on the screen. Other types of
data will be automatically created, making creation and
verification easier.
