Fashion Brand
Fashion Brand
As this is my first time creating a fashion brand, I need to find out all the areas I need to have
covered in detail to ensure it has a strong base and is on track to be successful against its
competition when I release the first item. To figure this out, I have looked at an article talking with
Sarah Donofrio, a fashion and print designer that has successfully set up her own clothing lines and
other ventures within the industry, which essentially talks through setting up a fashion brand.
Through watching the interview and reading the article, I have formulated the list below that will
guide me through all the areas I need to cover and will work through the necessary points as a
checklist, adding the associated information next to it as I work through the project.
COMPANY OVERVIEW
Visual Identity – logo, brand colours, typography and photography style, website look
Brand Voice - how you’ll speak to your audience through marketing and tone of voice
Brand Story - the narrative of why your brand exists and its mission (people remember
stories more than facts and figures s so this is an opportunity to make an emotional
connection with the audience) why am I starting this brand? What makes me different? Why
the world needs my brand?
Brand Values
Season & Collections – Seasonless fashion (aims to slow down the impact socially and
environmentally the fashion industry has)

extremely important but also hone in on your strengths and be true to your own design
Garment Flats – before making the product sketch up flats and use a model that
represents your target audience when testing an item for fitting

media
