PROJECT CYCLE MANAGEMENT COURSE

Project management is the application of knowledge, skills and techniques to execute projects effectively and
efficiently. It is a strategy for organizations that enables them get results from the projects which are directed
towards achieving the set goals, hence better competency in serving their clients.
Most companies, institutions and organizations worldwide are adopting the use of projects in their day to day

the risks for successful achievement of outcomes.
 Project Proposal writing and reporting- that looks at the development of sellable and catching project
proposals to targeted stakeholders
 Project Planning- which covers the plan to be followed during the project
 Implementation process- that entails how the outcomes of the project are put into action in order to
achieve the goal and objectives set out.
 Monitoring and Evaluation- that covers the implementation of the outcomes and how they will be assessed

This course is to practically orient and expose participants to project management while deriving understanding of
its importance and relevance towards achieving their set goal and objectives.

 Assessing project proposal (relevance, feasibility, sustainability, additional resources)
 Management of proposal post submission processes

Module 3: Project cycle management


 Introduction to PCM
 Strategy setting and program development
 Project resource mobilization/ financing
 Implementation and monitoring
 Logical framework (Tool) and Logical Framework Approach(LFA)
 Budget and Resource Schedules

 Activity Gantt charts/ Schedules
 Adding tasks and milestones to a project

COURSE OUTCOMES:
At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

 Understand the importance of project management in the running of organization and/or company
activities in order to achieve the set goals and objectives

 Properly write project proposals as well as reporting.
 Know the various stages of project cycle management and why it is important to follow the management
plan of action for successful achievement of desired outcomes.

Interested organizations/institutions/individuals are expected to have laptop(s) while attending the workshop.

DURATION:
This is 5 days training program.

VENUE:
The course will take place in Nairobi at our GOOLEE training suite. However, organizations which prefer to host
this event at their preferred location are encouraged to apply for the tailored arrangement.

COST:
The course fee is $600 per person (break tea and lunch are provided). For client hosted trainings with participants
more than 10, a discount of 15% applies.
