Connections of the travel pressure sensor
This diagnostic code is associated with the travel pressure sensor. This is an analog sensor which produces a voltage to the ECM on pin J1-37
(wire A499-BU). This diagnostic code is active when the ECM detects a voltage on the signal wire that is greater than 4.8 volts.
Before performing this procedure, inspect the harness connectors that are involved in the circuit. Poor connections can often be the cause of a
problem in an electrical circuit. Verify that all of the connections in the circuit are clean and secure. If a problem with a connection is found, correct
the problem and verify that this diagnostic code is active before performing this procedure.
Ensure that CID 0148 FMI 03 is active. This procedure can cause new diagnostic codes to be recorded. Ignore these created diagnostic codes.
When the procedure is completed, clear the created diagnostic codes.
A. Turn the key start switch and the disconnect switch to the OFF position.
C. At the machine harness connector for the sensor, install a jumper wire from contact 3 (wire A499-BU) to contact 2 (wire R993-BR).
D. At the machine harness connector J1, measure the resistance from contact J1-21 (wire R993-BR) to contact J1-37 (wire A499-BU).

C. Remove the jumper wire from contact 3 (wire A499-BU) to contact 2 (wire R993-BR).
E. At the J1 machine harness connectors for the ECM, measure the resistance for the signal contact of the sensor J1-37 (wire A499-BU) to all
other J1 contacts.
