Sub: Breath analyser testing & Biometric verification of running staff during signing
ON/OFF in the back drop of COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Ref: (i) Northern Railway’s letter No. 131-T/0/RS/2017 dated 06.07.2021.
        (ii) AIRF’s letter No. AIRF/24(C) dated 02.07.2021.
 

In reference to the above, Zonal Railways requested for issuances of


clarification on the instant matter of Breath analyser testing & Biometric verification of
running staff during signing ON/OFF.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic is still prevailing all over the country and there
is a need to maintain precautions to prevent spread of new COVID variants, under
extra ordinary conditions Zonal Railways are advised to continue sample BA testing
in terms of the instructions already issued by Board’s letters No. 2016/M(L)/467/1
dated 24.06. 2020 & 01.7.2020 till issuance of further guidelines.
