1 . TABLE OF MEDIUM VOLTAGE SELECTING CALCULATIONS
1.1. Objective - Calculating Method
- Cable for 22kV Transformer
- Cable for 22kV RMU
- Selection of voltage level for insualtion: - Rated voltage level of cable is chosen 22 kV
Material of conductor: Copper
Material of insulation : XLPE, PVC sheathed. Particularly, cable connected to connecting pole outside directly undergrounded.
Cross-sections of cables are selected complying with the following criteria:
- Switchstanding maximum short-circuit current at MV side of substation.
- Ability to withstand the zero-current of the device.
Calculating methods, summary tables for parameters based on the "Switchgear Manual", 9th revision by ABB published by The Technology and-
Science Publishing House in 1998.

1.2. Parameters for calculations


Rated voltage of primary side: Uđm1 = 22.0 kV
Rated voltage of secondary side: Uđm2 = 0.68 kV
%PF ( Comply with standard EVN about WTGs connection to National Grid) Cosφ = 0.9
Transformer over load factor: KOL = 1.00
Max time to clear fault at 22kV side (s) = 0.50 s
Request for rate short-time withstand current (3 Phase) 22kV side = Based on ETAP simulation
Medium operating voltage : = 22.0 kV

1.3.Calculations
Short Cicuit Capacity
The mateials used for these cables are compliance with temperatures of 90°C for continous operation
and 250°C for shot circuit conditions of up to 0.5 seconds.
