Project
You have been requested to prepare a (draft) HR Policy for an organisation of your choice. For
this project select an organisation you have previously worked in, the organisation you are
currently employed in or an organisation you would like to work with in the future.
(You will need to access and present information/data about this business to accurately reflect the
nature of their work and services provided).
Provide a detailed overview of the business, describe the nature of the business activities and
work force size. Reflect on the HR Department size and number of personnel employed. Identify
current policy documents.
The following tasks require you to demonstrate how you determine strategies for delivering HR
services, the management and evaluation of that delivery and the management of the integration
of business ethics in HR practices.

Task 1
Prepare an Action Plan for use in the preparation of drafting your Policy. Your Action Plan should
clearly reflect:
• The stages used to gather key information including the likely impact external business
environments may have on your HR requirements,
• Communication strategies used with stakeholders
• Documenting and reviewing processes used.
• Your HR strategies and planning processes and their relationship to the organisation’s
business and operational plans including calculating the HR ROI for the organisation.
Identify and list all stakeholders to be engaged in the development including strategies for seeking
and analysing feedback on level of satisfaction, your review processes and gaining support for the
change process. Roles and responsibilities of stakeholders engaging in and approving of the final
HR policyshould be clearly explained. Your action plan should also explain how training needs will
be identified and support arranged. time frames and costs for implementation.

Action plan for preparation of drafting human resource policies in the organization-

 To achieve group cohesiveness in inculcating participative management.
 Reduce dissonance in managerial decisions.
 Reduce and decrease conflict and grievances to achieve zero loss of man-days and
increase the productivity as a result of it.

 Achieve great levels of quality consciousness in the organization.
 Reduce the cost of quality to zero within next 4 years.
 Provide error free product and services to our customers to increase retention and to
increase our market captivity.
Goal 3-
 Promote creativity and growth within the organization.
 Initiate and promote organization wide quality improvement.
 Develop in the organization a culture that promotes growth and creativity.
Action plan-
 Establish small group forums like quality circles, self managed teams, value engineering
teams, total quality management, etc in the organization.
 Shift the focus from statutory participation to total and full participation.
 Empower the employees by involving them in the decision making process and

activities.
 Implement and boost transparent communication network in the organization.
 Initiate quality awareness programs through regular training and development.
 Develop total quality management culture by increasing formal and informal
interaction with all the employees.
 Practice quality management through personal selling.
 Promote and foster directed creativity culture and practices with a clear documented
policy.
 Emphasis on in-house talent rather than on outsourcing.
 Implement a reward system for focused and need-based creative ideas.

Information collection process-


 Any information needed was collected by directly approaching the supervisors,
managers and team leaders of each department.
 All the information and data hence gathered was documented in a well drafted Google
doc.
 The document if private to ensure eradicating adulteration and hampering of it.

Communicating strategy used with stakeholders-


 Direct in person communication.
 Over call communication.
 Emails.
Documenting and reviewing processes-
 Data and information is stored in a Google document.
 All the information was presented in a cabinet meeting of the organization.
 Key takeaways were noted to be acted upon on the basis of the threat and emergency
of the problem.
Calculating human resource return on investment-
 To calculate the return on investment, we will use the human capital formula.
 Divide the organization’s net revenue – gross revenue after deducting operating
expenses, salaries and benefits- by the cost of salaries and benefits.

Task 2
Using your Action Plan, draft an HR policy for this organisation. The document is to clearly state
the type of policy and who it is intended for, within the business. The format must be consistent
with other corporate documents.Any terms used within your Policy must be defined clearly.
Ensure that your HR policy includes clear statements detailing the following:
• Legislative requirements (Acts to be identified and described)
• Levels of risks identified should this Policy not be implemented correctly
• Service specifications including performance standards and timeframes, Code of conduct,
workplace diversity and ethical behaviour expectations
• Feedback strategies and analysis,and how it is used to modify HR delivery
• Review and revision periods for the HR policy document including arrangements for
monitoring QA processes.

Your (draft) HR Policy document should be no shorter than 1,500 words (approximately five
pages). Attach relevant resources or documents that will assist in any future implementation of
the Policy. This text is not to be included in word count.

Introduction
The work objective of Remote to provide outsourcing and employee leasing services to
business and other big organizations. In order to provide a quality service it is a must for the
organization to have a well-structured HR policy. A well-structured HR policy will help the
employees and staff to deliver performance up to their full potential. This in return will also
help the organization in the process of growth and development over time.

Our policies would be drafted in a way that would promote a favorable and suitable work
environment for the employees. The HR policy document will clearly state the new set of
policies and regulations that we be adopted from the date that will be disclosed shortly.

We expect each and every member of the organization irrespective of their designation and
role to abide by it by ensuring that they stay true to the policy regardless of the situation.
Objectives of the Policy
The objectives of this HR policy that all employees are requested to abide by are as follows-
 Achieve great levels of quality consciousness in the organization regardless of the type
of work or task assigned.
 Reduce the cost of quality to zero within next 4 years itself. All the policies will be
drafted in order to reduce the cost of the quality drastically in the mentioned time
frame.
 Provide error free product and services to our customers to increase retention and to
increase our market captivity. This will aid in business growth in a long run.
 To achieve group cohesiveness in inculcating participative and coordinative
management at all times.
 Reduce dissonance in managerial decisions.
 Reduce and decrease conflict and grievances to achieve zero loss of man-days and

Purpose of the Policy


The purpose of this policy to elevate the effectiveness and efficiency of the employees working
in the organization to a top notch level. This is very important to be accepted by all the
stakeholders as this policy will help deliver good performances, good results and a good growth

in revenue along with business’s market share.

As our end goal is to provide top notch services and products to our customer and we know
that all the employees of Remote plays a vital role in the process of the goal achievement. So it
is crucial to make sure that such policy should be created that can foster and develop our
employees so that they can be able to give their best. This in result will create an atmosphere
where at all times we would be able to deliver top notch and unforgettable services and
product experience.

Key stakeholders
The stakeholders who helped and assisted in the process of building policy are the managers,
supervisors and team leaders of all the departments. They have helped by providing key
information and data regarding the problems faced at work by them and their teammates.
Without the proper support and assistance by these stakeholders it would have been just
impossible to draft these policies. Right from the beginning of searching of pain points faced by
the employees at work in the organisation until the final drafting of the policies these
stakeholders have played their vital role.

Nevertheless, the employees have also played their key role by providing information at times
we needed it. So, to say, all the employees in this organisation have given their best in the
process of creating and drafting the new HR policies for the organisation which will definitely
help us achieve new heights in the coming time.

Engagement and collaboration

All the stakeholders have played a key role in the process of drafting the policy by their efforts.
Let us provide you an overview which will help you identify the exact ways these stakeholders
have contributed through-

a) All the stakeholders were approached individually by setting up a 2 hour meeting with each
over the last 3 months. They gave amazing and vital information in these meetings and all such
information was collected in order to start the process of drafting new HR policies for the
organization.

b) All the statements and records were asked and documented only after checking the efficacy
of the statement with proven evidences. These statements were taken in the presence of all
the employees of the team in order to avoid the manager or stakeholder from making false
statements. We know how important it is to know the truth in the process of drafting policies
for the organization, be it HR policies or other work policies.

c) All the statements from all the stakeholders were documented and listed out in a Google
document which is accessible to only the key leaders and members of the organization. The
access is provided by sharing the document to all these individuals and by making sure that no
other member or employee can hack or access the document by any other means.

d) A meeting was held with the key members and the statements were evaluated according to
the rate of emergency and threat. We made sure that the statements with highest priority
should be taken care at first and vice versa. All the policies are drafted by taking this strategy

into consideration.

e) Key takeaways were noted and action plan for each was drafted accordingly by the risk and
HR manager. Each and every policy drafted in not vague and is to the point.

Target Group

This policy is intended to be followed by each and every employee of the organization
irrespective of their job position or role in the organization. We ask for each and every
employee regardless of their post, job role or position in the organization to follow and abide
by the new human resource policies drafted by us.

Not abiding by the new HR policies can fetch poor results for both the development of the
employee and that of the company itself. So we ask each and every one to ensure that they
truthfully follow the new policies.

We request all the employees to approach the HR team anytime they feel that they are not
able to understand a certain part of the policy.

Management of non-compliance of this policy

If any employee fails to comply with the HR policy then the following step will be commenced-

a) The individual will be summoned by the HR manager by providing a notice 2 days prior to the
appointment. It is mandatory for the employee to provide a reply to the summoning and then
provide a date between these 2 days on which they can have a meeting with the HR team.

b) The employee will then be asked for the reasons on why they have not followed the policy.
The team of HR members will evaluate whether the reason provided by the employee was
reasonable enough or not.

c) Action will be taken according to the severity of the reason for not complying with the policy.
The employee would rather be provided by a cut in salary for the corresponding month which
would be equal to 10% of the in hand pay. If the reason is evaluated out be malicious that the
employee would be provided with a notice period of 30 days to serve before they get
terminated from the organization.

Value of this Policy

Value of the policy-

a) Will help and aid in the process of fostering and boosting growth and development of each
and every employee in the organization.

b) Will help ensuring quality management in all the undertaking throughout the business. This
will help in also providing quality outcomes to the organization and quality product and service
to the organization’s customers.

c) Will help in improving the business’s revenue within 3 years. The revenue will consist of the

total of the profit left after deducting all the expenses that are covered by the organization. We
expect each and every employee to play their part in helping us achieve this target as quickly as
possible. We will also reward employees that shows exceptional help and assistance in
achieving this goal.

d) The policy will help decrease the negatives of the HR ROI. It is very important for us to
decrease and bring the down the negative return on investment for our human resource
services and for the department providing these services.

e) Creativity and skills of the employees will get improved. The improvement in the creativity
and skills of these employees will eventually help us deliver the best outcome which will helps
in the growth and development of the organization as well.

f) Code of conducts and ethical behavior will get improved in a matter of time.

Policy Review
The policy will be frequently reviews every 6 months by the HR manager, Risk manager and
the board of the organization.

comprises of an average of 15 words for each sentence.
Your document must have a Table of Contents with appropriate page numbers. Separate
