Activity No. 3 Reflections To Be Answer

God promises blessings to those who follow His commandments including a bountiful harvest, peace, protection from harm, and guidance. While good works are important, salvation comes through faith in God as a gift, not by works alone to avoid boasting. Even for believers, doubt can exist so we must remain faithful and develop a relationship with God despite human flaws and sins. Working out our salvation involves living faith through good works and actions to demonstrate God's influence in our lives and become a living testimony to Him.

1. Read the Book of Leviticus 26:3-13. Explain the blessings that God has given to his
chosen people.

God bestow an abundant life to whoever person who will follow His mighty
commandments, to whoever individuals who will refuse to do bad things and recognize
only the good ones, and to whoever people that would hold on to His mighty teachings.
The book of Leviticus 26:3-13 says that His chosen people will experience the fullness of
being, the goodness of having life, and the discernment of chasing the good and only the
good ones. God promised His chosen people to protect them at any cost, He will take
away all the negativities that might strike their way, He will give them a peaceful and
mesmerizing place to live, and He will grant them plenty of resources where could full its
people. This book in particular wants to convey that a true blessing comes with following
God’s call to action and not with taking advantage to people, that true glory comes when
you know how to respect ang have faith in Him and not to curse His name, that the true
grace comes when you seek God’s help rather than committing sins. His blessings are all
because of the obedience of an individual. You will be chosen if you know how to obey
His rules and commands. These blessings are all for the betterment for we will harvest
crops even if it’s not yet its time, He’ll grant us peace so that we will not be afraid to
anyone, He’ll give us the strength to fight all feasible hurdles, He will protect us from all
catastrophes that might happen, He’ll shower us a plentiful harvest, and He will guide us
every point of time we deal on life. The blessing that were shown in this book convey
discipleship – that we must a true and faithful servant of Him in order to enjoy life and to
get rid with problems. This book wants us to value the teachings He wants us to follow in
order to receive the sacred blessing that one could ever wish.

2. There are people who tell us that we must keep the Law and be good in order to be saved.
Is it true? Why.

Following the laws and being good alone are not indications to be saved but rather,
salvation comes with our faith to the Lord and on how we value God as our Savior. As it
was being said in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For grace you have been saved through faith and that
not of yourselves; it is the gift of God not of works that no one would boast,” which
means it’s the sincerity of a person to follow Christ that will save him and not of his fear
of not being saved, it’s the faith that guarantee salvation and not of just being obedient to
God’s will, and it’s the genuineness that bring out redemption and not of being untruthful
just to be protected. Those people who are telling that we must keep the law and always
be good are basically in pressure of harm, in fear of devastation, and in trouble of failure.
Imagine that if you just obey God’s law without having conviction, would you believe
that God will trust you, include to His chosen people in order to be saved? Surely, no.
God wants us to go beyond what He told us, to put a deeper meaning into His context,
and to have the realizations we must procure in life. Obedience is a must but inclined
with it should be the faith He needs us to internalize, to value, and to embody. Let’s take
into consideration the commandment wherein He told us to keep the Sabbath day holy,
and you yourself go to mass in order to fulfill this commandment, but the difference is
that, you are physically present but you’re mentally absent. In that case, you are not
absorbing the salvation you are after with, you are not receiving the abundant blessing
you ever wished for, and you are not procuring the wealthiness He promised to its faithful
servant. Indeed, we should live a life with faith and enough sincerity in order to acquire
salvation.

3. The Bible clearly states that if “I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, I will be saved.” Acts
16:31 I do believe, but I’m not sure I am saved. Can You explain?

We are often fooled with that cliché, “We are just humans and we are capable of
committing errors,” which is somehow a fact. Even though we believe in God, even if we
have enough trust in Him, even if we integrate so much faith with the Lord, there is still
doubt in us which can affect the way we live our lives, some loopholes that might be the
reason to commit errors, and some unsured thoughts that stop us from moving forward.
We are humans and it is in our nature that we are sinful, that we are imperfect, that we
are flawed. Even if we have the purest heart, the cleanest mind, and the most revered
soul, if we are tempted to a certain thing, if we are irritated to someone, if we are
outcasted in the society, there is this unwanted feeling which make us wicked and
deficient, which make us hate people resulting to misunderstanding, and which can harm
others due to abhorrence. Yes, if we believe in God, we will be saved, but there’s no
assurance as long as we continue to commit sins, as long as we don’t repent regarding our
misbehavior, as long as we are not trying to be better every day. Despite the fact of being
sinners, we are still capable of being saved, we just need to remain faithful amidst trials,
hardships, and shortcomings. Faith is more powerful than being imperfect, far better than
staying adverse, and more satisfying than having none at all. If we want to be saved, we
just have to believe and develop good sense of relationship with Him, to have that humor
of being a disciple, and being that person who value morality at all cost.
4. If Salvation has nothing to do with our own works how do you explain Philippians 2:12,
“…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”?

As stated in Philippians 2:12, “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as

in my presence only, but how much more is my absence, work out your salvation with
fear and trembling,” this word of Him infers our prejudice to put on the work of our faith
and salvation. Meaning accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior does not ends our
part as a Christian yet it is the commencement of our expedition in working out the faith
we have for God. Working out for our salvation is working out for moral and adequate
actions as manifestations of God’s greatness and magnificence over our lives which
means it is our time to attest our faith unto Him and set ourselves as a person transformed
and saved by God by showing other people how good He is by shifting our lifestyle from
wicked and undeserving being to a person who has grown His faith upon meeting God.
The bible says in Matthew 16:24, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me,” and this is how we should work out our salvation.
We live according to His persistence and plans. Living in His existence might make us
exposed to oppression but Galatians 2:20 states that, “I am crucified with Christ;
nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lived in me: and the life which now I live in the
flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who love me and gave Himself for me.” This is
our chance to offer back to God the courtesy He at first provided for us which lead us to
turn into a living testimony to God.
