Q1E-BM5370-1
Before using the receiver coil, carefully read this instruction manual together with the instruction
manual of the main unit to fully utilize the receiver coil.
CAUTION
When using the receiver coil, pay attention to the following.
Care should be taken for the receiver cable not to make a loop when connecting it with
the table connector. Stop using the receiver coil if it is confirmed that the cable sheath is
broken and metal part is exposed.

To obtain better images, put the patient
to the bottom as deep as possible.

• After positioning the scan region with the light localizer, set the upper coil.
At this time, care should be taken for the coil not to touch the patient or catch hairs of the
patient.

-3- Q1E-BM5370
• After setting the receiver coil to the table connector, set the patient to the scan position.
At this time, put excessive cable between the tabletop and mat.
Also, care should be taken for the cable not to make a loop.
• When the coil is to be detached, push down the lever at the rear of coil.
Connection of the connector is released allowing the coil to be easily detached.
Note that, if trying to detach the coil without using the lever, excessive force is applied to
it causing damage.

2. Setting the Flexible QD Body Coil
• Set the mat to the tabletop and set the coil so that the coil centerline is laterally centered
on the tabletop. Lay at least one mat for the patient, and adjust the number of mats so
that the vertical center of patient comes close to the vertical center of gantry aperture to
obtain better images.

-6- Q1E-BM5370
• Lay the patient so that scan region of patient is laterally centered on the tabletop.
• Connect the connector and apply the lock.
At this time, care should be taken for the coil not to shift laterally.

• Use the coil-fastening belt to fix the coil.
Fig. 13
-9- Q1E-BM5370
• There are two types of coil-fastening belt. Select either one according to the scan region.

CAUTION
When storing this coil, stress may cause damage if folded for storage. Also, if storing the
coil with the connector connected and put it up, the coil-fastening lock may be released.
Keep it unfolded for storage.
