Introduction
Green Pearl Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd is a Sri Lankan company based on natural body care
products. Green Pearl Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd n was started in 2009 located in Colombo, in the
western province of Sri Lanka. The owners of this venture are Mr. Nalin Perera and his wife
Mrs. Mala Perera, who is the driving force of the company[ CITATION Gre19 \l 1033 ].
Green Pearl Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd has a unique range of natural soaps and many natural health
care products. The production process utilises natural eco certificated plant oils which are
selected and are then carefully blended with natural base oils such as virgin coconut oil, olive
oil, sweet almond and castor oil[ CITATION Gre19 \l 1033 ].
Until the end of the 19th century, all medicinal and cosmetic materials were obtained
from nature through the roots, leaves and barks of trees. By the beginning of the 20th
century, petroleum by-products came and many cosmetic companies began to use synthetic
ingredients in their processes, which were readily available and much cheaper.
The special range of natural soaps by Green Pearl Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd is seeking to emerge
into the world market by entering into a new exporting market in Maldives. Tourism is the
largest economic industry in Maldives, so this is a great opportunity for Green Pearl Ceylon
(Pvt) Ltd to enter into the market.
