Job title: Quality Control Inspector

Division: Printing

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 Verifying and providing customer approved standard sample/shade card to production staff as per job
requirement.
 In charge of job approval process before mass production begins at Printing by
verifying the art work, verifying text matter, color shade matching, printing
unwinding direction, substrate material approval and verifying all job
specifications and requirements as per the job specifications.
 Advising production staffs in case of process deviation ensuring defects are
promptly detected and offering corrective actions to rectify such deviations.
 Monitoring and inspecting every printed Roll sample to ensure conformance throughout
the printing process processes and retaining samples for reference.
 Conducting online quality checks such as ink gsm, tape test, rub proof test, ink
viscosity, shade consistency and all mandatory tests as per job requirements and
recording the results in quality control form.
 Monitoring inspection process and approving inspected rolls/Jobs for the next
process.
 Maintaining Quality control online checks forms.
 Reporting and communicating (shift hand over) to Head of Quality Control and the
rest of the quality team.
 Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained in the production floor
 Perform work related duties as assigned by supervisor.
 Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Skills Requirements:
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate within a team set up.
 Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel )
 Keen sense and attention to fine details.
 Problem solving skills with ability to make decisions based on factual data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 In charge of job approval process before mass production begins at Lamination
by verifying substrate material, Adhesive: Hardener mixing ratio and viscosity
as per the job card and Technical Data specification.
 Monitoring and inspecting every laminated roll sample to ensure conformance throughout
the lamination process processes and retaining samples for reference.
 Checking and troubleshooting Lamination defects such as edge blockage, edge
delamination, speckling, telescoping, Low/ high adhesive coating and lamination
Streaks/patches (In waxing monitoring wax gsm coating)
 Conducting online quality checks such adhesive gsm, Oven test, Curl test and all
mandatory tests as per job requirements and recording the results in quality control
form.
 Ensuring process parameters such as roller temperatures are adhered to at all times
during lamination process.(also in waxing)
 Reporting and communicating (shift hand over) to Head of Quality Control and the
rest of the quality team.
 Conducting bond test in order to approve laminated for slitting after curing (using
“QC PASSED STICKER” to approve for slitting.
 Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained in the production floor.
 Perform work related duties as assigned by supervisor.
 Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

 Checking Treatment on every extruded roll sample.
 Monitoring and inspecting every Extruded Roll sample to ensure conformance throughout
the Extrusion process and retaining samples for reference.
 Checking for extrusion defects such as Film blockage, under size, Low/High Gauge
PE(Poly), Rough winding, Fishy eyes
 Conducting online quality checks such (Grammage test) gsm, film width, Co
efficient of friction (C.o.F test), Tensile strength, gloss, haze, opacity/appearance,
and all mandatory tests as per job requirements and recording the results in quality
control form.
 Reporting and communicating (shift hand over) to Head of Quality Control and the
rest of the quality team.
 Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained in the production floor.
 Perform work related duties as assigned by supervisor.
 Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

 Approving Jobs for slitting after verification of winding direction, slitting size, core size, maximum Outer
diameter, Meters per roll/ Weight per roll Parameters as per customer approved standard/Job specifications
or as per job card.
 Approving Jobs for Pouching as per customer approved standard specifications or sample. (Dimensions,
formation/profile
 Advising production staffs in case of process deviation ensuring defects are
promptly detected and offering corrective actions to rectify such deviations.
 Monitoring and inspecting samples at slitting, Gluing, Cutting, Punching and pouching
processes to ensure conformance throughout the processes and retaining samples for
reference.
 Conducting frequent (hourly) random online quality checks such as grammage test
(gsm), tape test, rub proof test, CoF test, Bond Strength, Seal strength test, leak
test, pouch dimensions and all mandatory tests as per job requirements and
recording the results in quality control form.
 Approving Jobs for dispatch to customers after passing quality tests and preparing
certificate of analysis (CoA) based on quality test results obtained.
 Advising Production staffs on handling of non-conforming goods regarding
reworking and recovery processes, preparing necessary documentation for
handling non con forming goods.
 Ensuring hygiene is observed, goods are packed, labeled appropriately for
traceability and palletized.
 Maintaining Quality control online checks forms.
 Reporting and communicating (shift hand over) to Head of Quality Control and the
rest of the quality team.
 Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained in the production floor
 Perform work related duties as assigned by supervisor.
 Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
