Vacancy: Quality Inspector x 6

Department: Press Shop- Quality

Reporting To: Team Leader- Quality

Reportees: Not Applicable

Purpose

This position is responsible for ensuring the Quality standards in Press shop which satisfy the
customer specifications / requirements.

Essential Duties
 Assessing customer Requirements and ensuring that these are met
 Ensuring that the Manufacturing processes comply with Quality standards, Work Standards and
Work Instructions
 Ensure First off / Last off of the parts and carry out process audits as specified in the standards on
a daily basis
 Must be able to identify confirming and non conforming products/ parts and accept or reject
finished parts
 Quarantine non-conforming goods and ensure to follow the rework procedure to correct them on
sight
 Should be able to correct the non conforming process and report the abnormalities to superior
 Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
 Must be able to get into the root of the problem to identify the real root cause to address the
product and processes
 Discuss results with those who responsible for the products
 Report inspection and test data
 Support Continuous Improvement and problem resolution.
 Inspect parts visually.
 Checking other related defects and damages.
 Any other reasonable task in the department as may be required form time to time.
 Must write a end of shift report for communication among the team members and superiors
Supervision

 Quality Inspectors works under the direct supervision of a respective Quality Team Leader

Job Qualifications And Experience Required

 Conversant with Press Shop Stamping Processes


 Should be conversant and hands-on with uses of various measuring instruments , Gauges
 Should understand Geometrical Drawings, Tolerances , Limits and Fits
 Knowldege of computer - MS office is Must and SAP would be an added advantage
 Preferably Technical School graduate and Quality Certification would be an added advantage
 1 -5 years experience
 Previous Press Operating experience will be advantageous
 Good communication skills
 Ability to be a solid Team player
 Problem Solving using 8D methodology

• Quality rejections rate
• Rework Rate
• Zero Non Conformance in the shift

• Team Leaders, Tool Room, Operators

External Interaction :

• Not Applicable
