Browsing in Laserfiche: Navigating The Folder Browser
The Folder Browser is one of the primary places for working with documents and
folders in Laserfiche. All documents in the repository are displayed in the Folder
Browser, and therefore it is important to be able to navigate it efficiently.
You can reorder the columns and sort documents based on the column
information by clicking on the column. For instance, clicking on the Type column
will sort by document type. By default, the column will be sorted in ascending
order, but clicking it again will change it to sort in descending order.
The Contents Pane can display your documents in a variety of ways, including
Large Icons, Small Icons, List, Details, and Thumbnail views.
Preview Pane
The Preview Pane in the
Laserfiche Client enables you to
preview the pages of a document
to see if it’s the one you want to
open without actually opening it.
You can move between pages,
see annotations, zoom, pan, and
view the document’s text,
thumbnail, and metadata panes.
You can also open sticky notes
and read their text or view the
document’s properties. If you use
the Preview Pane in conjunction
with Search, search keyword
highlights will also be displayed in the preview.
The Preview Pane in Web Access enables you to preview document pages along
with their properties, thumbnails, and metadata. It is located in the left pane under
the Folder Pane and can be collapsed or expanded.
