Calculated value = 36.944

Degree of freedom =3

Table value = 7.815

Significant level = significant level of 5%

INTERPRETATION:

The above table shows that the calculated value of chi square is greater than the table
value. Hence the null hypothesis is rejected so there is a significant relationship between age and
retention problem.
