Floor

This document summarizes the design of a domestic floor with 50mm thick joists that are 75mm deep and have a clear span of 4 meters. It calculates bending stresses, shear stresses, and deflections under long-term and medium-term loading conditions. All values are found to be within permissible limits, with medium-term bending stress utilization at 91.2% and deflection utilization at 73%.
