Are professional athletes overpaid?
Topic sentence:
According to Forbes (2020), Cristiano Ronaldo, Portuguese football player, made in
2020 $105 Million, which might us think that is too much.
Development
Even though the amount is astronomical, there has been lot of hard work behind this
salary.
Example
It is believed that Ronaldo trains 5 times per week for 4 hours plus he plays games
every weekend and this routine has been like that for at least 20 years. Parker Reed
(2017), sports editor said that professional athletes are highly paid because of the
wealthy franchise, for which they play. For example, their revenue comes from tickets
from fans, sponsors, streaming platforms but neither of that would have been without
the athletes representing their organizations.
Summary
Overall, nothing seems black and white, because all the dedication and
responsibilities that we may not see is implicated into the pay.
