STEM: Create a Dancing Skeleton

Aim: To make a skeleton that can dance.

You Will Need:


• The bones cut out sheet

• Straws

• Tape

• String

• Split pins

Activity:
• Cut out the skeleton pieces from the bones sheet.

• Use split pins to secure the limbs.

• Cut straws to the length of each bone piece.

• Tape the straws to the back of each bone piece on the skeleton, leaving small gaps
between each straw.

• Tape a piece of string to the base of each foot and thread it through the straw of the
leg, hips, spine and head and leave a length to pull on at the top.

• Attach the string to the base of the hands, hips and spine and thread through each
part and out the top of the head.

• Pull the strings individually or together and experiment with your dancing skeleton.
