Public Area Supervisor 2. He supervises and ensures that the
cleanliness is maintained at all times in public areas such as lobby,
lifts parking, swimming pool, coffee shop conference hall, banquet
hall and restaurants.
Assistant Executive Housekeeper 3. One of his responsibilities is
to train the new members of the Department while motivating and
evaluating the existing employees.
Night Supervisor 4. He ensures that the guests are taken care of
during night time and operating staff working at night follow all
cleaning SOPs.
Night shift attendants 5. These are staff who perform housekeeping
duties during night Time.
Guest room attendant 6. He is responsible in cleaning the
guestrooms, bathrooms and Hallways of his station.
Uniform Attendant 7. He collects staff uniform at the end of every
shift and maintains them to be used for the next time, which he also
issues.
Linen attendant 8. He is responsible in segregating the dirty linen
according to its types before sending it to the laundry, keeping track
of linen count before and after laundry and stacking linens according
to its uses.
Public Area Attendant 9. He is responsible in keeping the parking
lobbies, lifts and corridor among other public areas clean.
Store Attendant 10. He is responsible in keeping the count of
cleaning equipment and item such as cleaners and detergents and in
generating requisition to purpose the required materials.

what other traits must the housekeeping staff have? Why do you
think so?
1. Pleasant personality
It is the result of good grooming and good presentation in front of guests. He/she
should be turned out in well iron clean uniforms, aftershaves and perfumes should not
be too strong . minimum jewellery and light make up is for female staff. Unclean
manner like chewing gum, scratch of face hair in front of guest should be avoided

2. Physical fitness
House keeping us a 24*7*365 operation and staff need to work long hour on feet .
similarly most works are manual and have to lift heavy Equipment also. Physical
fitness is a must to cope with nature of this work.

3. Personal hygiene
Housekeeping staff should take bath daily, their hair must be well Combed, nail clean.
Their mouth should be free of offensive odour and any infection should be reported.

4. House keeping department must keep eye on whole property for care and
maintenance. Similarly, they are also eyes and ear of establishments.

5. Honesty
Housekeeping staff have direct access to guestroom . They also deal with.various kind
of guest amenities which are tempting . So they should be honest .

6. Loyalty
Employer should be loyal to their company. A situation should never arise where
employees use guest as their sounding board

7. Punctually
If employee is continually late for duty ,it shows lack of interest in work and lack of
respect for Management and his job

8. Calmness
Housekeeping personnel should remain calm in various kind of emergency situation

I want to be in Floor super visor, becaue I want to experience the

responsibilities of issuing of keys to room attendants.

Aside from the tools and equipment and cleaning chemicals

1. Scrub Brush

Like sponge, a scrub brush is used to wipe out mud, dirt and stain. Its bristles are the best part for cleaning, and this is actually used to
remove hard, thick and tough stains on different places from flooring to fabric, kitchen ware to glasses, and the like. Again, it is a multi-
purpose cleaning tool that is a must to see in a house.

2.Rags
This type is not merely to clean certain items. It is usually designed to accumulate dirt and dust from shoes and other footwear, as well as
the soles of bare feet. It is still a big help because it helps lessen particles that may potentially be scattered in the flooring of your home.
So, place at least one rag at the entrance of per door. It is also better if you can put one outside and another inside.

3.Bucket

Buckets in different sizes with matching dippers are an important cleaning supply as well. This is helpful in mopping the floor, cleaning
the windows, and washing cars. Other than cleaning, it is also a good tool to use to water plants in your garden.

4.Towels

Preferably white, towels are useful in wiping out dirt, dust and even soft or liquid stains. It may be a microfiber cloth, a literal facial
towel, a bath towel or a fabric from an old t-shirt that is not being used anymore. It really does not matter as long as it is made of cotton
that can be used in cleaning. This is easy to wash with an ordinary laundry detergent anyway.

7. Squeegee
To clean glasses and other transparent or smooth materials like the walls, squeegee is the best tool to use. It is also used to wash
automobiles, most especially the windows. For both home and car washing, this is considered a basic and essential cleaning tool.
