1. Have you been to the UK before? When and for how long? Why
did you come to the UK?

√ If you never been in the UK before you just said “NO”


√ If you are in the UK before you must mentioned the reason
of visit to UK. Be honest with your answer.
2. Why do you want to study in the UK instead of studying in your
home or another country?

Give positive factors about studying in the UK.


For example :
√ High quality education and standard of teaching well regarded by employers back home
√ Multicultural environment, Welcoming to International Student.
√ Location London, Manchester, Birmingham
√ British Culture – Football, Harry Potter.
√ Shorter Course – Masters only one year instead of two years in other countries.
√ Time Zone – Flexible time distance with home country (compare to Canada /USA)
√ Weather – UK weather is more suitable (Compare to USA /Canada)
3. What programme are you planning to study at BPP? Why did you
choose this programme? Can you tell me about the course structure
and modules?

Link the answer to your career plan- be specific- which modules really interest you and will be the most useful in career

5. Which other institutions/universities have you researched in the
UK? Do they offer the same course as BPP? Why did you choose to
study at BPP above these universities?

- Must be able to give the full names of at least two other Universities
- E.g. University of Kent and University of Sussex (you must compare the Universities in London as BPP is
in London)
Do they offer the same course as BPP?
√May be the same course or similar – must know the course name (including whether MSc/MA)
You must mentioned the exact course name.
Why did you choose to study at BPP above these Universities?
√You can mention factors such as: location, start date, scholarship
√But most importantly must be able to compare the course content / modules (how is the BPP course
preferable to University X and University Y course content ? You should know the modules, method of
assessment, course structure of other Universities as well.
√Be specific when comparing institutions you may want to think about costs, accessibility, tutor profiles,
university rankings, post-study employment statistics and opportunities.
• Why did you not choose those other Universities as they are ranked higher than BPP?
- BPP University is a private university that focuses on professionals from industry teaching
professionals. As BPP do not offer any research based courses, this excludes BPP from the Complete
University Guide ranking table, where one of the rating criteria is research
6. What do you want to do after finishing your course at BPP? What
are your future plans and career aspirations?

√Link your future career ambitions to the course you have applied for.
√Be specific – Which modules in particular will help the most with your career goals?
√Try not to talk working for multi-national companies (too cliché)

-Be specific about companies which you would like to work for, your plans for your career
over the long term, how your course is relevant to the companies you have listed, have
you spoken to any companies listed about employment prospects or work placement
opportunities, have you done any relevant work placements? Think about what you have
done that will demonstrate that you have thought about work after your studies.
7. Are you being sponsored – who is funding your studies? What is
your family income/parents salaries (pa or pm in ££)?

Will you be financing your studies or your family?


Be ready to give details of :
-Annual Income £
- Savings £
Remember, you need to be able to show you have :
- Tuition fees + UKVI maintenance amount
- 1 Year tuition fees + £12006 (London) or £9207 (Outside London)
8. How much do you need to live in the UK - course fees and living
expenses?

Course fees:
- Total Course fees : £12500
- Scholarships : £2500
- Final Course Fees : £10000
- Deposit amount : £6000
Monthly Living expenses :
Be aware of UKVI recommended amount 1334 (Living in London) or 1023 (living outside of London). However, this
question asks how much you think you will spend each month NOT asking what UKVI recommended amount is?
- Accommodation £600 - £750, Food £200 - £250, Travel £120- £150, Personal and Leisure £100- £150
** Although UKVI recommended 1334 a month, I have worked out my budget around 1300”
** Zone 1, 2 and 3 (monthly travel card price 173.60). For student OYSTER I will get upto 30% save. Then my
monthly travel cost will be around 125 – Source - tfl.gov.uk/campaign/new-fares
9. Do you have any dependents? Are they coming to the UK/in the
UK with you? Do you have any family in the UK? What do they do?

• £845 a month per dependent per month (for up to 9 months) for courses in London.
• £680 a month per dependent per month (for up to 9 months) for courses in outside London.

any person sharing**
10. Where will you live in the UK? Where is your course based?
Commute – how long? Are you planning to work in the UK while you
study?

- You must know the exact address with postcode, distance (how far is it form the
University?), cost , way of reaching to the University?
- To know it you can take help form tfl.gov.uk website.
Where is your course based?
- You must know the exact campus location of your study with postal code.
Are you planning to work in the UK while you study?
- As per immigration law you can work up to 20 hours per week during term time and
up to 40 hours per week during vacation. Make sure you can’t say, with your work you
have to earn partial of your money to cover your education.
