SUBJECT: ENTREPRENEUR DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ONLINE


TRADESMEN RECRUITMENT SYSTEM

Enclosed is our group's design project proposal. This proposal is submitted for partial fulfillment of
steps and Design requirement outlining the plan for the project pursuit through the problem
formulation with functional requirement, alternative solution generation with computer science
approaches, project management and milestones, and task assignments and deliverables. We
understand this proposal, in written report as attached and oral presentation upon scheduled, would
undergo a rigorous Proposal Review Panel assessment, and we are willing to accept
recommendations from the Panel Review and modify and resubmit for final approval.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

1. INTRODUCTION
This is an online recruitment project that holds database of various professionals on a website and
serves client looking to hire services of professionals, artisans, laborers for certain jobs.

The system is would be designed to allow Professionals to set up their Area of expertise for Job
placement and Clients to register and Search for various Service men & women available for Handy
Jobs.

2. PROBLEM DEFINITION
Unemployment is one of the reasons for many social problems and vices in the country. The lack of
jobs has made many people go into illegal means of making money. This increases the crime rate in
the country and makes it difficult for foreign investors to show interest in the country.

Lack of the right skill set is one of the main causes of unemployment in Ghana. The free education
system practiced in the country has helped reduce the illiteracy level but it has also reduced the
quality of education.
Thus, they are more graduates who are knowledgeable in the theoretical aspect of things but unable to
implement them in reality. The problem that usually arises in Ghana in spite of servicemen being an
essential flow of employment, many businesses have been facing many complexities to be active
participants. Some of the difficulties faced by them are Hardship in Building Customer Base, Having
a Low Number of Experts, Inability to Provide Diversified Service, Hard to Be Found by Public,

3. CURRENT STATUS OF ART AND TOOLS TO BE USED


In summary,
Unemployment in Ghana has made it more difficult for people to survive. This is why the
government needs to enact the right solutions to solve the problem, that is why also as an
entrepreneur we’ve mapped a right approach to tackle part of it,

Professionals and Clients are connected to, served by, or available through a system and especially a
computer or telecommunications system and would be managed with HTML & PHP to an open-
source relational database management system by MySQL.

Designed would be managed with CSS an open-source design system by Visual Studio Code, where
both the HTML and CSS would be linked.

Database would be managed with MySQL an open-source relational database management system
(RDBMS) (Oracle, 2012).

4. ENGINEERING APPROACH
The System project would consists of the following:

The Professionals Login Section: where professionals or service experts can upload a list of their
portfolio, area of expertise, locations and contact for ease of identification.
The Clients Login Section: This would be the Clients page where they can upload a brief about what
kind of services they are looking for, contact, and location.
The Admins Login: This would be strictly for the administrator who may delete fake or unwanted
User profiles, unauthentic service and user profiles request and also the Admin gets a report
whenever there’s a new request up for various professionals registered on the website.
Email notification: Auction winners and losers get an email notification whether they won or lost the
bid.

5. PROJECT MANAGEMENT
A Four member group consisting of a Front end and Graphics designer, backend and login admin,
database operator, online survey conveyor, and Project research member

6. IN CONCLUSION
As earlier stated Servicemen are in a great position right now as more people are looking to maintain
and improve their homes. However, they’re also facing fierce competition because of the low barrier
of entry, and many are entering the niche to take advantage of the opportunity. For those looking to
get into the industry, there may be pain points that are not obvious anywhere. The system is designed
to allow ease of access.
