United Overseas Bank (UOB) is one of the largest multinational banks in Singapore. FITAS application is part of
the TROC. TROC is the trade financing and remittance services. FITAS supports many of the important
products of the bank.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

FITAS handles trade products for Import and Export.

Import: Letter of Credit Issuance, Import Bills settlements, Inward bills for collection, Shipping guarantee, Trust
Receipt and performance/Banker’s Guarantee

Export: Letter of credit advising/confirmation, Letter of credit transfer etc.

There are Quarterly releases and also projects being handled under FITAS. There are four quarterly releases being
rolled out. Projects are being delivered based on the estimate prepared. Apart from development team there is also
production support team which handles incidents and day to day production support activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Actively involved in all phases of SDLC cycle for project development, implement software solutions for
new projects and change requests. Design, construct, test and maintain the software to meet the business
needs.

 Responsible for gathering requirements from the users for new project or change request. Perform impact
analysis and propose man efforts needed for the change.

 Responsible for translating business requirements to functional specifications by performing analysis on


both upstream and downstream impacts. Prepare technical design document based on the functional

changes.

ICSS is the international customer service system that supports international distribution of products. The
application is supported by mainframe. Many Problem tickets, change tickets are raised for which solutions are
analyzed and built. ICSS interfaces with Customer Order Handling for which the support is provided by AS400.
Tickets for the incidents and changes will be raised and solved.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Responsible for interaction with clients to understand the business requirements for new changes.

 Responsible for finding the solutions to the problem or change requests that are raised.

 Responsible for building the code fixes and testing the same

 Responsible for distribution of the code fixes to other local systems that are supported by the main interface

 Responsible for writing the technical specs and getting approval from the system owners.

Unitrax is the product held by Citi Fox which is used by many of the Banking sector in Canada for maintain the
investor records. Unitrax is a SaaS-based, transfer agency record keeping system that enables mutual fund and

funds, fixed income, structured notes, annuities, and insurance investment products. Designed specifically with the

Legacy Defects and fast track is an important project of FSTI. There are 6 releases for a year and each release will
have 20 to 40 RFS going for the implementation. There are defects reported by the client for the RFSes that have
been installed. If the defects are reported with 6 weeks then they are considered as warranty defects and if the time is
more than that the defects are considered as Legacy defects. Additionally there are also fast track projects developed
which is means the particular RFS has high priority and it will go implementation with 30 days. The Requirements
will be given by onsite and the entire development and implementation will happen at offshore.

Roles and Responsibilities:

● Responsible for attending the requirement walkthroughs and writing technical specs and provide tech
spec walkthrough.
● Responsible for providing the estimation.
● Responsible for development and support testing and implementation
● Responsible for providing technical solution for the defects
● Individual responsibility of fast track items(total effort required will be less than 30 days)
● Take ownership of the post implementation defects.

MetLife can only store an 8 character brokerage account number for a block of approximately 3,000 PNC annuity
contracts. These contracts are currently being rejected by NF’s posting application due to the incomplete brokerage
account link information provided by MetLife. NF will modify our posting process to identify the designated
MetLife contracts numbers when they come in from the DTCC and reference the list to update the brokerage
account link numbers prior to running our annuity posting data load process. The correspondent (PNC) will provide
an accurate full list of MetLife contract numbers and the associated PNC brokerage account numbers that NF is to
include in the proposed list. Thereafter, PNC will notify NF of changes to apply to the list. Two new View Direct
reports are required: An audit report detailing the corrections to the inbound account number for these contracts will
be produced and an audit report detailing change activity to the contract/account number reference list on List
Manager will be produced.

transfers the funds involved to client money. This transfer to client money is not always required and therefore
Operations would like the option to stop a TT payment and not have the funds automatically transferred to client
money.

● Undergone effective training about the business behind the Banking domain and have grasped the concepts
so fast and have become a billable resource within 2 weeks
● Development of online screens to accommodate the new payment method and maintaining a track of query
log and discussing the same with onsite.

The project involves retiring IMS DB/DC and 52 selective VSAM from HEB Mainframe by Converting all IMS
databases and 52 selective VSAM files into DB2 tables and Converting all IMS DC screens into SCODE/COBOL
screens and replacing IMS Checkpoint/Restart logic with DB2 Checkpoint/Restart logic and by retiring the old data
stores (VSAM/IMS/DB2) that were consolidated as part of Item Master Enablement project and converting
ADF/IMS DB platform to SCODE /COBOL/DB2 platform.

Roles and Responsibilities:

● Created document which explains complex screens & UPC map screens and provided KT to my team
members
● Have guided team members on IMSDC and I have always helped in analyzing some of the toughest parts in
the screens.

In HEB, employee payroll application is maintained in ADF (Application Development Facility) system. The
objective of this project is to retire the old ADF system which uses the IMS database into COBOL with DB2 for
employee system with service oriented architecture (SOA).
This is aimed at further expansion of the application for additional requirements and to improve mainframe
application maintainability, speed of issue resolution and reduce dependency on skilled labor.

Roles and Responsibilities:

● Responsible to perform the analysis of ADF system for gathering the requirements, propose
solutions, prepare Application Design Document.
● Prepare documentation as defined under standards and templates.
● Responsible for Providing KT to testing team on some complex Employee Payroll screens.

activities that took place in UOB Singapore. I have played a system analyst role in many critical projects in the trade

that I have worked on. I have handled many change requests from end to end. I have also provided prompt solutions
to the production incident.
