objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.
The learners demonstrate an understanding of:

Content is what the lesson is all about. It pertains to the subject matter that the teacher aims to teach. In the CG, the content can be tackled in a week or two.

II. LEARNING CONTENT

List the materials to be used in different days. Varied sources of materials sustain children’s interest in the lesson and in learning. Ensure that there is a mix of concrete
III. LEARNING RESOURCES and manipulative materials as well as paper-based materials. Hands-on learning promotes concept development.

3. Textbook pages
4. Additional Materials from
Learning Resource (LR) portal
B. Other Learning Resources SDO-Iloilo Self-Learning Module ICT 8
These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by
the students which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways to learn new things,
IV. PROCEDURES practice their learning, question their learning processes, and draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge.
Indicate the time allotment for each step.
TEACHER’S ACIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES
Last meeting, we have discussed the examples and importance of ICT
in our daily lives. What are the examples of ICT?

Let’s have an activity. This activity will help you understand better the
lesson. This activity is entitled “Getting to Know PowerPoint”. There
are given pictures on your modules. You will need to examine carefully
and answer the questions given. I will give you only 10 minutes to do

F. Developing mastery (Leads to Let’s have some discussions. PowerPoint is a presentation software
Formative Assessment 3) (Explain) that allows you to create dynamic slide presentations. These
presentations can include animation, narration, images, videos, and
much more. When you open PowerPoint for the first time, the Start
Screen will appear. What do you think you can create?
You'll be able to create a new presentation, choose a template, and access
your recently edited presentations.
Very good.
From the Start Screen, locate and select Blank Presentation to access
the PowerPoint interface. PowerPoint name the first new presentation
as Presentation1. As you open additional new presentation,
PowerPoint names them sequentially.
Next, we have the Quick Access Toolbar. Where do you think is it
located?
It is located just above the Ribbon; the Quick Access Toolbar lets you access
common commands no matter which tab is selected. By default, it includes the
Save, Undo, Redo, and Start from Beginning commands. You can add other
commands depending on your preference.
Correct. What if I needed to add a quick print command? What should
I do? First, click the drop-down arrow to the right of the Quick Access Toolbar.
Then, select the command you want to add from the drop-down menu. To
choose from more commands, select More Commands. Lastly, the command
will be added to the Quick Access Toolbar.

That’s right. PowerPoint uses a tabbed Ribbon system instead of

traditional menus. The Ribbon contains multiple tabs, each with
several groups of commands. For example, the Font group on the
Home tab contains commands for formatting text in your document.
Then, we have the Tell Me. What do you think is its function? If you're having trouble finding a command you want, the Tell Me feature can
help. It works just like a regular search bar: Type what you're looking for, and
a list of options will appear. You can then use the command directly from the
menu without having to find it on the Ribbon.
Okay. The Slide Pane is located on the left side of the interface, the
Slides pane shows thumbnails of all the slides in the open
presentation. How about slide area?
It displays the active slide. Here, you can view and edit the selected slide.
Very good. A horizontal strip that provides information about the
opened presentation like slide number, applied Theme, etc. It also
includes the view and zoom options. What do you think is it?
It is the status bar.
Lastly, Notes Pane, which is right below the active slide, this is where
the speaker notes are written for the current slide. Any question so
far?
None.
Let’s go now to the viewing options and zooming. PowerPoint has a
variety of viewing options that change how your presentation is
displayed. You can choose to view your presentation in Normal view,
Slide Sort-er view, Reading view, or Slide Show view. You can also
zoom in and out to make your presentation easier to read. How will
you do zoom in and out? To zoom in or out, click and drag the zoom control slider in the bottom-right
corner of the PowerPoint window. You can also select the + or - commands to
zoom in or out by smaller increments. The number next to the slider displays
the current zoom percentage, also called the zoom level.
That’s right.
I have here another activity for you to answer. You need to identify

concepts and skills in daily living

From the activity you have done, who can sum up all the things you
have learned? Mccoy?

abstractions about the lesson presentations. These presentations can include animation, narration, images,

J. Additional Activities for application
or remediation (Extend)

V. REMARKS Learners must recall their Grade 7 lessons and connect it to the new lesson.
Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your students’ progress this week. What works? What else needs to be done to help the students
VI. REFLECTION learn?
Identify what help your instructional supervisors can provide for you so when you meet them, you can ask them relevant questions.
A. No. of learners who earned 80% on
the formative assessment
B. No. of learners who require
additional activities for remediation
C. Did the remedial lessons work? No.
of learners who have caught up with
the lesson
D. No. of learners who continue to
require remediation
E. Which of my teaching strategies
worked well? Why did this work?
F. What difficulties did I encounter
which my principal or supervisor can
help me solve?
G. What innovation or localized
materials did I use/discover which I
wish to share with other teachers
