CHAPTER 3

Technical Aspect

This chapter will discuss and identify the durable materials, each

utilities needed in the business and the proposed location including the

plant lay-out, vicinity map and the location analysis Furthermore, this

chapter contains product/services, technology and product requirement of the

business.

3.1 Technical Process

Technical process includes the product description, discussion of the

materials and the needs for the production of proposed business. It also

includes the service flow of purchasing the product and this services will reach

the potential customers.

3.1.1. Product Description

The product of HIRAYA is in the business of making and setting

inspired custom made tote bag with detachable pockets. The offered

Bag is suitable for men and women and can be carried anywhere with

you. This product are in fashion trends in the fashion industry, which

apply not only to sophisticated styles but also to purpose and function.

The product has the ability to penetrate the market quickly because the

target customer is anyone who can use it without specific gender, age

or nationality.
3.1.2. Product Materials

The proposed Brand Making of Detachable Tote Bags business

offers new style, and convenient tote bags to the public. To carry out

the daily operation, the business needed.

3.1.2.1 Canvas Cloth

One of the main materials of tote bags is canvas cloth.

this will serve as the bag and pocket of the tote bag. The

customized designs you want for the tote bag will also be placed

here.

3.1.2.2 Thread

Thread is used to form the stitches that hold the fabric

parts together, that make the tote bag complete.

3.1.2.3 Zipper

 This used to keep your personal items secure inside of

the bag. Zippers also make it easy to open and close a tote bag.

3.1.2.4 Buttons

Buttons will be used in tote bags, if the customers will

prefer zipper or buttons. It is used to fasten or close the garment

by passing through a loop or hole in the other side.

Sewing machine helps to stitch the fabric and other

pliable materials together with threads. It helps to speed up the

creation of bags.

3.1.2.5 Aqueous Inks

This will be used in creating the designs in tote bags.

Aqueous Inks is used only in fabric, cottons, canvas and etc.

3.1.2.6 Digital Garment Printing

Garment printer inks can be a major expense for the

start-up cost of making tote bags. Digital garment printers are

one of the most popular printing techniques for use on

garments, canvas, etc., making them ideal for use on natural

fabrics.

3.1.2.7 Printers

Ink, and papers are needed in printing the customized

design or preferred design in tote bags. Budget is always

needed in printing the designs.

3.1.3 Service Flow


It demonstrates how the company runs in actual time and

clarifies how clients can have access to the products it offers. The

service flow for selling a tote bag is illustrated in the figure below.

Before making a purchase, customers will first visit the

business's Facebook page to verify its legitimacy and read reviews left

by previous customers. If the information on the Facebook page

satisfies the consumer, they will begin to select an item based on their

preferred tote bag design. For help and to place orders, they can

message the page. Depending on the customer's location, it may take

a few days for them to get the products after placing an order. Both

online payment and perhaps cash on delivery are options for the

payment, depending on the customer.

3.2 Location Analysis

The location of proposed business includes the discussion of location

map of the Hiraya tote bag that will soon to be put up. This is where our office

will be built, the place where the bags will be made and the stockroom for our

tote bags.

3.2.1 Location Map

The location is very important for any business, it helps

businesses to have more customers because it is convenient for


making the product and at the same time it is also convenient to speed

up the transaction of selling tote bags online.

3.3 Technology Trend


3.4 Production Requirement

In this section, it introduced the things that are needed for the

completion of the product. The requirements for this production is very

important such as facilities, machineries, equipment, supplies, furniture and

fixtures, and other expenses.

3.4.1 Facilities

This will be help in the brand making of Hiraya tote bags. This

will help to build the product. The facilities include:

3.4.1.1 Office Room

This room will be already provided by one of the owners

of the Hiraya Tote Bag. The waiting area is for the customers

who walk-in, complains and etc. It is also the placed for

employees and workers who will do the business onlines and

etc. It is a comfortable the place for them while doing their work.

It also the placed for the stocks of our products and equipment.
3.4.2 Machineries and Equipment

the following equipment for the operation of the business. Presen# the

start-up cost of making tote bags. Digital garment printers are

one of the most popular printing techniques for use on

garments, canvas, etc., making them ideal for use on natural

fabrics.

3.4.2.2 Heat Press Machine (4)

Heat Press Machine helps to apply designs to fabrics.

helps ensure a proper release of the transfer paper design,

which increases the design's washability.

Sewing machine helps to stitch the fabric and other

Used for the transaction online, recording customers

information, inventory, sales, orders, and etc. There will be eight

desktop computers for each employees. This will be for fast

transaction.

Laptops will be given to each employees. This is provided

by the company. To stores file even better and can be bring for

the transaction outside the company.

There will be one printer for printing the customization

design that selected and choose by the customers.

3.4.2.8 Phone System (1)

The phone system is needed for telephone transaction.

There will be one phone system for the whole office.

3.4.2.9 Router (1)

The router will help to connect  multiple networks and

receives and sends data on computer networks

3.4.2.10 Generator (1)

 It is a standby or backup generator. It gets hooked up to

your home and provides a source of power when your house's

electricity goes out. In fact, the only time you'll use one of these

generators is during power outages. This can be used if there’s

a sudden power outages or can be used in emergency

purposes. It is fuel based power, and the full tank generator can last

up to 12 hrs.
3.4.2.11 Fire Safe Box (1)

 Fire safe box used to store personal items, such as

important documents which cannot be replaced by cash

alone. It is important to office because in case of emergency you

have a place where files and documents are safe.

3.4.2.12 Air Condition (2)

This is needed in office because it provides air and it is

good for people who suffer from allergies and asthma because it

minimizes the irritants that trigger an attack. It also for better

experience and for employees to work properly.

3.4.2.13 Receipt Printer (2)

It is important especially to those customers who will

buy online. Like in lazada and shopee, we prefer to used

receipt printer to look clean and it can be put on the parcel of

the product.

3.4.2.14 Water Dispenser (1)

We put one water dispenser, for the employees. It

facilitates easily supply of drinking water. It is very useful

equipment and can supply cold, moderate and hot water.

3.4.3.1 Canvas Cloth (100)

One of the main materials of tote bags is canvas

cloth. this will serve as the bag and pocket of the tote bag. The

customized designs you want for the tote bag will also be placed

here. The starting to make tote bag is one hundred canvas cloth.

3.4.3.2 Thread (50)

Thread is used to form the stitches that hold the fabric

parts together, that make the tote bag complete.

3.4.3.3 Zipper (100)

 This used to keep your personal items secure inside of

the bag. Zippers also make it easy to open and close a tote bag.
3.4.3.4 Buttons (50)

Buttons will be used in tote bags, if the customers will

prefer zipper or buttons. It is used to fasten or close the garment

by passing through a loop or hole in the other side.

It is used for printing in every imaginable application.

Aqueous inks can use pigment, dye, or combinations of both

dyes and pigment as the colorant. It can help our bags to have

more radiant color that will fit to the tote bag.

3.4.4.1 Office Desk (9)

This will help to keep files and folders, important papers,

to write and keep the computer system. There will be another

one desk for the printers

3.4.4.2 Office Chairs (12)

The office chair that will used are twelve chairs. Eight for

the employees and four additional chairs for customers and in

the waiting area. To be organized, and for the customers to

be comfortable.

3.4.4.3 Filing Cabinet (3)

Filing Cabinet is one the office furniture needed

for storing paper documents in file folders. Three filing

cabinet will be used in each sides for storing documents,

transactions and records.

3.4.4.4 Shelves (2)

Shelves will used to organize the permits, books,

brochures, available tote bags, and etc. The one shelves is

located to the office room and the other one is in the stockroom.
3.4.4.5 Storage Racks (6)

This storage will be used in the storage rack to place

the finished products and the products that are about to be

made. on the other racks, the tote bags will be put together

depending on the sizes.

3.4.4.6 Recycle Bin (3)

The disposal of garbage can be done faster and the

workplace will be more organized. Three recycle bins will be

used. One in the waiting area, one in the office room and one in

the stockroom.

In additional, we added a sofa. To make the

customers more comfortable while they waiting for their

tote bags.

It is important that we have a table, together with the

sofa. They can put the things that they have in the table and

read the brochure of the Hiraya Tote Bag while waiting.

3.4.5.1 File Folders (8)

File folders holds papers and money together for

organization and protection. File folders usually consist of a

sheet of heavy paper stock or other thin, but stiff, material which

is folded in half, and are used to keep paper documents. Each of

the employees have file folders so they can look up immediately

the files.

3.4.5.2 Envelopes (8)

This will be used to put and store some documents

that will be put after in the cabinet or filing cabinet.


3.4.5.3 Pens (12)

Twelve will be used in the office. It is equivalent to

one pack of pens. Pens is very useful especially in taking

down notes and transactions.

3.4.5.4 Pencils (12)

One pack of pencils will also be used. It used when

customers want others designs that they suggest. They can

choose on the sketch or sample designs of the designer.

Especially if they want a couple design for their tote bags.

3.4.5.5 Inks (7)

Printer inks is very important because this will be used in

printing the designs that customer have chosen. Seven inks will

be used because different colors is needed.

3.4.5.6 Foldback Flips (20)

This is used in binding sheets of paper together. It leaves

the paper intact and can be removed quickly and easily, unlike

the staple.

3.4.5.7 Bondpapers (500)

It is very important in printing documents, and

especially in the designs that customers have chosen. One file

of papers which includes over five hundred sheets will be used.


3.4.5.8 Thermal Receipt Paper (100)

This one hundred roll sheets of receipt paper will be

used. One sheet per transaction will be used in the tote

bags.

3.4.5.9 Double Adhesive Tape (5)

One of the uses of this tape is to attached the receipt to

the parcel or to the customers order.

Only one sharpeners will be used to sharpens the pencil

that will use by the employees.

Scissors are small cutting tool with two sharp blades that

are screwed together. You use scissors for cutting things such

as paper and cloth. It will be a great help for cutting the canvas

cloth and in the excess thread in the bag.

3.4.5.15 Calculator (3)

This device that performs arithmetic operations on

numbers. Basic calculators can do only addition, subtraction,

multiplication and division mathematical calculations. This help

the business to compute the profit and etc.

3.4.5.17 Stapler (2)

 Stapler joining papers together. The fastener, called a

staple. This is best to join documents to bind them together.

used to put out a small fire by directing onto it a substance that

cools the burning material.

There are two company brochure that will used for the

customers who wants to browse some designs.

3.4.5.20 Air Freshener (3)

 This will be used to impart an aroma to the air

environment or to mask odors, with the intent of creating a

pleasing indoor space. 

3.4.5.21 Alcohol Automatic Dispenser (1)

It helps maintaining a hygienic and safe environment.

Improves hygiene and safety. Lately, keeping your surroundings

hygienic has become a necessity for all. Before going inside

there’s a dispenser that will used to sanitize your hands

including the temperature scanner.

3.4.5.22 Alcohol (5)

Alcohol needed to the workplace and need also a

stock. This will help to sanitize the place of the workplace

and the employees.


3.4.5.23 Gasoline (5)

It is needed to run the generator. Five liters of gasoline

can help the generator to run up to twelve hours. Diesel oil will

be used in the generator.
