COURSE INFORMATION
Course Description:
This course is specifically designed to facilitate students on online-based learning through synchronous and asynchronous Reading in the Philippines History. It examines the
history of the Philippines from a variety of perspectives, using primary materials from a variety of fields and genres. Students can study the author's background and primary arguments,
compare other points of view, uncover biases, and examine the evidences presented in the document. The topic will tackle history, understanding the political, economic, cultural, social,
scientific, and religious history. This course aims to develop the student’s analytical, communication skills, and make them morally upright, and responsible citizens.

General Objectives:
1. Equip the students with critical consciousness as well as analytical and creative thinking skills to analyze primary and secondary historical texts that would elicit demonstration on
their understanding in view of the Philippines History through effective communication;
2. Facilitate the use of basic concepts across the domain of knowledge in the examination of the contemporary world from both the Philippine and global perspectives;
3. Provide opportunities to reflect critically on shared opinions, facts based on the content researched, to take responsibility for being a Filipino, encourage them to contribute personally
and meaningfully in developing the country; and
4. Participate in working effectively as a group using the current resources in the Internet or textbook available in the library, applying the technology-based learning that enables them
to manage their knowledge, skills and values.
