The bar is filled with a good number of people drinking,

smoking and talking to one another.

CLOSE UP on the face of J, a man in his mid thirties,

sitting alone at a table. His eyes stare into nothingness.
J has a lit cigarette between his lips and a glass of beer
in his hand.

He take a puff and then sips from the beer.

He checks the time on his watch - it's time for him to leave
the bar

He stubs the cigarette on the table and stands up.

INT. BUS (MOVING)- NIGHT

J travels in the bus on the seat next to the window.

A multi-storied apartment by the side of the road.

J stands at the opposite side of the road surreptitiously
watching a SKINNY MAN walking towards the apartment's front
door.

J waits for the man to enter the apartment - he enters.

J crosses the road and enters the apartment.

INT. APARTMENT BUILDING #1- CONTINUOUS

GROUND FLOOR

Silence in the air. Seems like only a few people live there.
J spots the skinny man getting into the ground floor
elevator.

J rushes to the stairs and runs up, passing the FIRST NFLOOR
and ultimately reaching the --
SECOND FLOOR

He walks to the elevator doors and presses the elevator

button.

J waits... cracks his knuckles, stretches and gets ready.

The elevator comes up and stops. The doors open, revealing

the skinny man inside.

J enters the elevator and stands next to the skinny man.

J presses a button inside the elevator... the doors close.

INT. ELEVATOR (MOVING)- CONTINUOUS

Awkward silence for a while.

On a SUDDEN -- J takes out a pocket knife from his pocket
and stabs the skinny man continuously until he dies.

J bends down, takes out his cellphone and clicks the photo
of the dead man.

J stands casually as if nothing happened.

Silence.

CUT TO:
GROUND FLOOR

J walks down the stairs, looks around and strolls out of the
apartment.

EXT. BOSS'S BUILDING - NIGHT

It's a fairly big double storied building standing alone in

a junkyard like place.

J comes walking from a distance, towards the building's

front door.

CUT TO:

INT. BOSS'S BUILDING - FEW MINUTES LATER

BOSS'S ROOM

J comes and sits at a table. He places his cellphone on the

table, displaying the dead skinny man's photo.

It's revealed that J is sitting opposite to a fat man, BOSS.

Few henchmen with weapons stand behind Boss.

Sitting next to Boss is a MIDDLE AGED MAN.

The middle aged man examines the photo in the cellphone - he
approves.

There's a briefcase on the ground by the side of the middle

aged man. He picks it up and places it on the table

He unlocks the briefcase and shows it to J - the briefcase

is stacked with cash.

CUT TO:
CLOSE UP: A money counting machine flips through a bundle of
cash from the briefcase.
Boss takes the bundle from the machine and places it back in
the case.

Boss shakes hands with the middle aged man.

The middle aged man stands up and walks out.

Boss takes a bundle from the case and keeps it in front of
J.

J picks it up and puts it inside his plant's pocket.

J pours drink on two glasses. He picks one for himself and
lends the other to J. J accepts it.

J gulps the entire drink, places the glass on the table and

J walks up the stairs to the --
FIRST FLOOR

where he enters his room and closes the door.

INT. J'S APARTMENT - CONTINUOUS

LIVING ROOM

Dark and messy. Stubbed cigarettes and food packets lie on

the floor.

J walks to the --
BEDROOM

J walks in and turns on the lights.

He takes out the bundle of cash from his pocket and places
it on the table in the room

He keeps looking at the wall with a bland face. Sighs.

He takes out the bloody knife from his pocket and walks into
the --
ATTACHED BATHROOM

J walks in and turns the faucet on.

He starts washing the knife under the faucet and stares
blandly at the bathroom mirror for a while.

He turns the faucet off.

BEDROOM

J sits at a table, shirtless, writing his diary using one

hand and holding a half smoked cigarette in the other. We
can see a Sword of Damocles tattoo on his right chest.

J doesn't look at her but enjoys her presence.

BEDROOM

J has finished writing a page. Whatever was said in the

voiceover is what's written in the page.

J draws a line under the page and closes the diary. Sighs.

EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING #2 - EARLY MORNING

INT. J'S APARTMENT - CONTINUOUS

BEDROOM

J sits at the end of his bed, still shirtless.

CUT TO:
KITCHEN

J opens the fridge and stares inside for a while.

He closes the fridge and walks to the kitchen drawer. He

opens a drawer to find a pack of noodles inside.

CUT TO:
The noodles are kept for boiling in the stove.

CUT TO:
LIVING ROOM

J, while brushing his teeth, turns on the TV and sits on the

couch.

Teleshopping ad starts playing in the TV.

J picks up the remote and changes the channel to an old
movie.

CUT TO:
J takes the noodles pan out of the stove and transfers the
noodles into a plate.

CUT TO:
LIVING ROOM

A stray cat sits on the floor. J strokes the cat and places
a small bowl of noodles for it. The cat starts to eat.

J sits on the couch and starts eating from his plate while
staring at the TV.

CUT TO:
The TV now plays the song ekanthathayude maha theeram from
the Malayalam film Bhargavi Nilayam.

J has finished eating. His empty plate lies on the couch. A

bored J sits at the couch staring drowsily at the TV.

A few seconds later, J turns off the TV.

He leans on the couch and makes himself comfortable.

He stares blankly at the wall. His eyes are sleepy... he is

at the verge of falling asleep... his eyes finally shut.

AFTER A FEW HOURS:

J lies on the couch, asleep.

The stray cat sits on the teapoy in the room. The cat knocks
off the remote to the floor and runs away, waking up J.

J rubs his face, grunts and sits on the couch. He picks up

the remote and places it back on the teapoy.

He gets out of the couch, scratching his back, and walks to

the bedroom.
ATTACHED BATHROOM

J stands in front of the toilet. He slowly unties his belt

and looks around.

He unzips his pants.

We can now only see his body above the waist. His hands go
below the frame and he starts masturbating.

Outside, he spots a happy couple walking by, he feels

jealous.

J turns the lights off, sits on the couch and lays his legs
on the teapoy.

He takes out a cigarette and a lighter from his pocket...

lights the cigarette and starts smoking.

He sits smoking, befriending his loneliness.

INT. APARTMENT BUILDING #3 – EVENING

ROOM XXX

There are FOUR dead men in the room.

We see a MAN, holding a gun, wearing cheap rubber gloves on
his hands. His face is covered in blood - he has been
punched several times on the face.

The man is V, in his late thirties.

V pushes a FIFTH MAN, using a gun aimed at his head.

The fifth man's right palm bleeds- it has been shot.

Using the gun, the V pushes him down on his knees.

The fifth man begins to weep.

CLOSE UP on V's face.

FLASHBACK:

INT. DOCTOR’S OFFICE – DAY

V sits before a DOCTOR.

V picks up the die, he doesn’t roll it.

The bathroom light starts flickering... and eventually turns

off, leaving V in the darkness.

Daughter sits on the couch, drawing something on the book on

her lap. V sits next to her, feeding her poridge using a
spoon.

After having a few spoons, she resists.

a hurry, he occasionally turns to V while talking.

V picks it up and begins to walk out.

V walks out of the shop.

He stops a few steps away from the shop and dials a number
on his phone...
Unfortunately there’s no balance for him to make a call. V
clicks his tongue.
Suddenly, in the background, a vintage sedan goes past V and
stops in the middle of the road.

V puts his phone back and notices the sedan. The man in the
passenger’s seat, LOAN SHARK, has put out his head out of
the window and is looking right at V - they know each other.

V realizes that he’s in trouble and starts walking away from

the van.
 13.

Loan shark gets out of the van and so does one of his
henchman, from the back of the van. The two men start
following V.

V tries to put the lollipop in his shirt’s pocket but he

misses and the lollipop falls down. He doesn’t bother to
pick up the lollipop, he continues to walk.

V slowly turns his head back and sees Loan shark and the
henchman following him from a few feet behind – V’s heart
skips a beat.

The driver lowers the window and looks at V, then looks at

loan shark who is approaching the van.

The loan shark signals ‘let him in’ to the driver.

The driver unlocks the door. V gets in.

EXT. BOSS’S BUILDING - EVENING

The sedan comes and stops in front of the building. Everyone

in the van start getting out.

CUT TO:
V, Loan shark and his henchman, stands in front of the
building’s door.

Loan shark knocks on the door.

LOAN SHARK

Loan shark bends down and waves hi to the door’s keyhole.

The door is opened by one of BOSS’S henchman.

alongside. There are Boss’s henchmen standing guard all over
the hallway.

Boss sits at a table, eating a chicken leg piece using both

his hands. He makes noises while eating.

Loan shark walks with V into the room.

Boss notices them.

V is confused.
Boss spits a part of the chicken bone on the plate and stops
eating... moves the plate to the side.

Loan shark comes and stops in front of Boss.

V gets up and sits on the chair in the room. He takes out
the piece of paper from his pocket and starts studying it.

EXT. V’S HOUSE - AFTERNOON

SUPER: "NEXT DAY"

V locks the door from outside and starts walking towards the
main road.

CUT TO:

INT. BUS (MOVING)- AFTERNOON

V stands on a bus travelling among other passengers.

CUT TO:

EXT. AUTOMOBILE SHOP - AFTERNOON

V walks inside the shop.

INT. AUTOMOBILE SHOP - CONTINUOUS

V comes in.

The shopkeeper, sitting at his table, spots V and stands up.

He leads V to the --

ADJACENT ROOM
Where he pulls out a key from his pocket and opens a drawer
in front of him. He takes out a 9 mm pistol, its silencer
and two magazines from the drawer and hands all of it to V.
 19.

V puts the magazines by the side. He holds the gun up in the

air, closes one of his eyes and points the gun at random
spots. V slips the gun inside his pants and covers it with
his shirt.

V turns from side to side checking if it’s visible that he

has a gun in his pants – nop, no one can tell.

V puts the magazines and the silencer too inside his pants.

CUT TO:

EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING #3 - EVENING

V walks, with the piece of paper in his hand, searching for

the building. He spots it. He looks at the building and
takes a deep breath.

He looks around and takes out a cheap homemade hood, looking

like an executioner’s mask, from his back and wears it. He
takes out two cheap rubber gloves and wears them as well.

V enters the apartment.

CUT TO:
INT. APARTMENT BUILDING #3 - CONTINUOUS

FIRST FLOOR HALLWAY

V walks passing different rooms. We follow him.

He stops in front of Room numbered 416.

He knocks on the door and waits.

After a while, the door is opened by TARGET #1.

(to V)

V sees the other 4 targets in the room, drinking, smoking
and playing cards.

A beat.

TARGET #1 (CONT'D)
Edo thannoda chodhich-
Before Target #1 could finish his sentence, V takes the 9 mm
out, to which the silencer is fixed, and shoots Target #1’s
fucking head off!
 20.

Target #1 grunts, stands on his feet for an another

second... then falls down, dead.

The other targets stop doing what they were doing and stare
at V in shock.
INT. ROOM 416 - CONTINUOUS

V enters the room and locks the door.

V shoots the remaining bullets, taking down target #3 and
#4... misses #2 and #5 since they hid behind the couch.

V fires again... CLICK CLICK... the gun is empty.

On a SUDDEN, an angry Target #4 runs from the back of the
couch, picks up the teapoy in the room and throws it at V...
V wasn't prepared for that. The teapoy's glass part shatters
on the floor, causing V to take a few steps back.

Target #4 furiously punches V on the face. He pushes V on

the floor, unmasks him, and starts punching him multiple
times on the face. V grunts and tries to catch his breath.

Target #5 comes from behind and holds V by the arms, lifts

him up and places him like a punching bag for Target #4.

Target #4 hits V hard on the face twice and then kicks him
on the balls. V screams in pain and almost passes out.

Target #5 drags V and drops him in the middle of the room.

V has his face covered in blood. He lies there, tired.

Target #5 goes to the drawer in the room, searching for
something.

Target #4 comes to V and stares at him, like a vulture

looking at its prey.

V grunts... struggles and takes out the magazine from his

pants.

Target #4 spots the magazine in V’s hand, he puts his foot

on V’s hand.

V takes a piece of the shattered glass and stabs it at

Target #4’s feet – AAAHHHH! Target #4 screams and takes his
leg off.

V quickly reloads the gun and shoots Target #4 in the balls

– AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Target #4 shrieks and falls on the floor. V isn’t done yet.
He shoots Target #4 two more times, Target #4 lies dead.
 21.

V hears a clattering from behind. He turns and sees :

...Target #5 taking out a gun from the drawer.

V doesn’t even gives Target #5 to take an aim... BANG! V
shoots him on the palm, making him drop the gun.

V wears his mask back.

V walks to Target #5 and aims the gun at his head, then
pushes him down on his knees using the gun.

Target #5 begins to weep.

V keeps Target #5 at gun point and walks to the drawer. He
opens the drawer and finds a bag, inside which, he sees the

BANG! V shoots Target #5 on the head. Target #5 falls on the
floor, dead.

CUT TO:
BATHROOM IN THE ROOM

V walks in with the cocaine stash. He keeps the stash on top

of the flush tank and starts cleaning his wounds.

INT. BOSS’S BUILDING – EVENING

BOSS’S ROOM

Boss sits at his table, drinking a glass of beer. A henchman

V, with the bag in his hand, walks into the room.

V comes and sits in front of BOSS and places the bag on the
table.

BOSS finishes his drink and keeps the glass aside. He looks
at the bag, then opens it. He sees the cocaine stash and
looks impressed.

Boss drinks it up.
Boss opens his table’s drawer and keeps a plastic bag on the
table. Boss gestures V to take it.
V picks up the plastic bag and opens it, the bag has the 30
lakhs he asked for. He hasn’t seen that much money ever in
his life. He doesn’t know what to say. He keeps the bag on
his laps.

V walks out of the building with a straight face.

INT. V’S HOUSE – LATE EVENING

LIVING ROOM
V sits on the couch, applying ice on his wounds. Daughter
sits near.

INT. J’S APARTMENT - NIGHT

LIVING ROOM

The TV plays.
An open bag of chips lie on the couch.
J sits on the floor, leaning on the couch. He reaches his
hand, grabs a few chips and eats them.

On a sudden – J’s phone rings, it’s a call.

J stands up, walks to the phone and picks up the call.

BOSS
(through the phone)
Aah, ninak naale oru pani und

Entha?
J stands there attending the call, Boss is talking on the
other side of the phone but we can’t hear him. J keeps
nodding his head and talks indistinctively.

EXT. STREET NEAR V’S HOUSE - DAY

V walks with daughter. The bag of money is in his hands.

POV from a car’s windshield: The car is parked. Someone
inside the car is watching V and daughter. The SOMEONE’s
focus is on daughter.

It’s revealed that the SOMEONE is J, sitting on the car’s

back seat. He is accompanied by PARTNER, who sits on the
driver seat.

V and daughter continue to walk.

 25.

The car comes from behind... the back door slightly opens...

The car stops by the side of daughter. The back door fully
opens, J’s hand reaches out at daughter and takes her inside
the car. The door closes and the car speeds ahead.

V is left confused and shocked.

V starts to run behind the car.

WIDE ANGLE SHOT: The car speeds from one end of the screen
to the other, V runs behind it, as fast as he could.

INT. CAR (MOVING)- CONTINUOUS

J has closed daughter’s mouth with his hands – she mumbles

and moves side to side.

EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS

The car is too fast for V to catch. But V still keeps

running.

We can hear V’s panting... He runs for a bit more and...

stops. He’s too tired.

He holds his knees and starts panting heavily. Coughs too.

His dress is soaked in sweat.

The car is nowhere to be seen.

V’s phone starts to buzz.

V takes the phone out – it’s a call, he attends the call

Boss hangs up.

V tries to call him back. There’s no balance.
V starts to freak out. AAAAAAAHH! He punches the air and
acts weird. He even throws the phone on the floor... cries
and screams.

He stands there without knowing what to do, he looks around.

INT. CAR (MOVING)- LATER

Daughter’s mouth is taped. J begins to tie her hand, she

resists. She starts pushing him, she tears up his face using
her finger nails, then punches him on the nose.

J holds his nose in pain. Daughter untapes her mouth. J’s

nose starts to bleed.
J tries to catch hold of daughter but she bites him hard on
the hand. He screams in pain. She doesn’t let go.

Partner sees all this on the rear-view mirror, he starts to

slow down the car.

EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS

The car slows and stops by the side of the street.

Partner gets out and walks to the back door. On the other
side of the car, daughter opens the door and runs towards
the main road. J gets out of the car as well.
Daughter gets to the main road... we see a car coming
towards her and
CUT TO:

BLACK screen.

We hear a – CRAAAAAAASH!!!
CUT TO:
Daughter has been hit by the car that was coming towards
her. She lies in the middle of the road, DEAD.

J and partner are in shocked silence.

 27.

The driver realizes what he has done, he reverses the car a

bit and speeds ahead, fleeing the scene.

A horrified J runs to daughter and falls on his knees. He

looks at her with his eyes filled with guilt. He starts to
shake in horror.

Partner comes running and stops behind J.

PARTNER
Nammak pokaam... Ivide nikkana safe

HIGH ANGLE SHOT: Partner makes J stand up and takes him to

the car. They both get into the car and leave the scene.
Daughter’s corpse lie in the middle of road, alone.
CUT TO:
AFTER FEW HOURS...

CLOSE UP on daughter’s body.

Looking at her is V, shattered by what he is looking at. He

is almost in tears. He breathes shakily.

It’s revealed that there are a few policemen in the scene.

We can hear indistinct voices from their walkie-talkie.
People in their neighborhood have gathered near.
V falls facing the ground in a fetal position and starts to
weep loud.
CUT TO:
V sits on the floor, calm, but broken inside. In the
background, the police continue their work.
V fights the tears in his eyes, trying hard not to cry, but
he eventually does. He begins to weep again. Sobs in agony.

INT. J’S APARTMENT - AFTERNOON

LIVING ROOM

The door swings open and J enters with a blank face.

BATHROOM

J enters the bathroom and stands under the shower.

He turns on the shower... doesn’t takes off his clothes.

He slams his fist against the wall. He then leans his head
on the wall and closes his eyes.

EXT. RANDOM STREET – LATE EVENING

SUPER: “FEW DAYS LATER”

V walks into the frame, he has an axe in his hand.

In his eyes, there’s anger... vengeance... grief...

We get a long shot of V walking.

EXT. BOSS’S BUILDING – LATE EVENING

V walks to the front door.

INT. BOSS’S BUILDING - CONTINUOUS

Henchman #1 leans on the wall, smoking a cigarette. Other

henchman stands in the background, minding their businesses.

On a SUDDEN- we hear a THUD from the direction of the front

door! Henchman #1 looks towards the front door. He takes his
weapon- a big knife. The other henchman start picking up
their weapons – iron rods, knifes etc.

THUD. THUD. THUD.

The henchmen stare towards the front door.

Henchman #1 walks to the front door. He peeps through the
keyhole, and then opens the door, ready to stab the person
at the door.

The door is opened. PLUK! V, who is standing at the door,

cuts henchman #1’s neck using the axe. Henchman #1 falls on
the ground.
(fights his way through, about 3 pages of fight)

FIRST FLOOR
BOSS’S ROOM

Boss sits at his table, eating chicken biriyani. Suddenly,

he hears the sound of approaching footsteps. Those aren’t
ordinary footsteps, those are the footsteps of a man craving
for vengeance... they get louder and louder.

BAM! V storms into the room, aiming for Boss.

 29.

Boss stands up. V comes to Boss, catches his shirt and

SLAAM! Slaps him right on the face, making him spit what he
was eating.

V continues to slap until his hands says no.

V stops and leaves his hold on Boss’s shirt. He takes out
the knife.

Boss runs to the bathroom in the room and tries to close the
door, but V pushes it from outside. V kicks the door,
swinging it open. V steps into the
BATHROOM

Just as V enters, Boss jumps on him from the side... pushes

him to the wall. V is caught off guard. Boss starts beating
him up.

Boss chokes V using one hand and aims a punch at V’s head
but V catches Boss’s fist using his hand.

Boss chokes V even hard. V leaves Boss’s fist.

V grabs boss on the balls. Boss screams – AAH! Boss stops
choking V. V lets go of the balls.
Boss runs to V, aiming another punch. V moves to the side.
BAM! Boss misses and hits on the wall - OUCH!

V hold’s Boss’s head and SLAMS it to the toilet bowl. Boss

screams in pain.

V kicks boss on the stomach, then holds him by the head.

V begins to push Boss’s head into the toilet. Boss resists.
V applies more force and eventually pushes his head into the
toilet.

V keeps Boss’s head plunged inside the toilet for about 10

seconds

Boss tries to breathe, creating bubbles inside the toilet.

V pulls Boss out of the toilet. Boss spits some toilet water
from his mouth. He gasps... tries to catch his breath.

V pushes him back into the toilet...

Boss starts moving his hands and legs asking for mercy - V
doesn’t care. We can see a combination of anger and grief in
V’s eyes.

After a few seconds, V pulls Boss out. Boss gasps heavily.

 30.

INT. J’S APARTMENT – SAME TIME

We see stubbed cigarettes on the floor. J sits on his couch,

smoking a cigarette.

J’s phone rings. J picks it up.

Boss hangs up. J sits confused. He smells some trouble.

INT. PARTNER’S HOUSE – SAME TIME

BEDROOM

Partner lies on his bed, asleep. His phone rings. He wakes

up.

He picks up the call.

PARTNER

BOSS
(through the phone)
Nee evideya ippo?
CUT TO:
INT. BOSS’S BUILDING – SAME TIME

BOSS’S ROOM
Boss is on the call, sitting at his table. The call is on
speaker mode. It’s revealed that V has placed the knife at
the tip of Boss’s throat from behind.

PARTNER
(through the phone)

(through the phone)

Boss hangs up the call.

V takes a newspaper lying on the table and places it in

front of Boss. V opens the table drawer and finds a pen. He
makes Boss hold the pen.

Boss begins to write, then stops.

V slightly touches Boss’s throat with the knife. Boss
doesn’t say a word more, he writes down the address of the
two men.

V takes the knife off boss, then walks around and faces
Boss.

V holds Boss’s head and keeps the knife on his throat.

SLASH! Cuts his throat off.

Boss shakes in pain and eventually dies.

V tears the address from the newspaper and walks out of the
room.

EXT. PARTNER’S HOUSE - NIGHT

V knocks on the door and waits outside.

Partner opens the door and – V SLASHES the knife in his hand
at partner’s chest. V kicks him on the stomach, making him
fall on the floor. V enters the house.

Off screen, we hear V stabbing partner to death.

INT. J’S APARTMENT - NIGHT

BEDROOM
 32.

A small briefcase lies open on the bed. The briefcase if

filled with J’s clothes. J is packing up his things.

On the process, he notices his knife lying on the table.

He finishes packing everything in the case and then walks to

the –
ATTACHED BATHROOM

Where he walks to the faucet, turns it on and washes his

face. He stares at the bathroom mirror for a while.
CUT TO:
J walks out of the bathroom.

He is about to close the briefcase.

But before, he looks at his knife again. He is in dilemma or
whether or not to take it with him – he decides not to.

He closes the briefcase.

EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING #2 - NIGHT

J walks out of the building with his briefcase.

He stops, seeing a man coming towards him from the shadows,
J waits for the man to reveal himself - the man is none
other than V.

V walks like an insane man at this point, he stops in front

of J. J doesn’t know what to do.

V pulls out the knife.

V stabs J right at his stomach, and then pulls out the

knife. J drops his briefcase.

J touches his wound and looks at the blood on his hand. He

shakes.

V stabs him once... twice... thrice...

J loses his balance, so he sits on the ground. He spits
blood... coughs a little...

V stares at J for a while. He bends down, then aims the

knife at J’s chest and BAM! Stabs the knife right at his
chest!

J moans in pain.
 33.

V pulls out the knife and then stabs J continuously until he

dies. J dies.

V stands up with the knife in his hand. He looks around.

Silence in the air.

V starts to weep. He puts the knife on his own throat and
CUTS it.

V stands on his feet for another second and falls down,

dead.

HIGH ANGLE SHOT of the two dead men.
