A noun-forming suffix, -its means a person An adverb- or adjective-forming suffix, -ly

-less -fy
An adjective-forming suffix, -less means A verb-forming suffix, -fy means to make or
without or lacking. Examples: nameless, cause to be or become. Examples: amplify,
homeless. electrify.
-ness -ize
A noun-forming suffix, -ness means state or A verb-forming suffix, -ize means to cause to
quality of being. Examples: illness, happiness. be or to become. Examples: realize, organize.
