Oracle HCM User Guide | Employee Self-Evaluation

In this module, you will be able to:

• Add 2022 goals (if not already entered)


• Rate your performance on your 2022 Goals
• Rate your proficiency level on the Values & Behaviors
• Input Overall Ratings and Comments on your 2022 performance

1. Log into Oracle HCM, and navigate to the Performance module

2. Click on the document link: “Connecting Results - Annual…” to open the review document

3. When the document is opened, you can access the different sections of the review document

4. First, view the instructions by opening the View Instructions button in Evaluation Areas. Please read through to orient
yourself to the flow of the annual performance evaluation process and tasks.

5. Second, is the Goals section. If you have entered your 2022 goals into the Goals module (before November 1st), your
goals will be visible in this section, and you can skip ahead to Step 6. If you do not have 2022 goals entered or want to
add a new goal, you can add them in the performance review document.

Add goals directly to the review form:


• Click on Goals in the Evaluation Areas section.

• You will be able to view your Goals from this page or add new by clicking on the + Add button, which will open a
new page where you can enter all the details on that Goal

Note: if any goals are missing in the performance review document, but are available in the goals section, click
back into the Goals section, Actions, and Update Goals. All new goals will be pulled into the document.

Once your 2022 goals are visible in the review form, you will need to rate your performance against each goal by clicking
on the Evaluate button at the top right of the page or the main Performance Review Document page.

6. Start the Evaluation process by clicking on the Evaluate button.

7. You are required to provide a rating for each goal and overall summary.
• Click on Show Additional Info to familiarize yourself with the ratings and their definitions.
• Add comments describing how you performed against each goal are required in the Employee Comments
section.
• To help determine your overall summary rating for Goals, you can click on the Calculate button at the top
right. This will average the ratings provided against all goals and can inform the overall rating you provide
for yourself.

8. The next step is the Values & Behaviors section.

You are required to provide a rating for each of the three (3) Values.
• Click on Evaluate from the main Performance Review document page, then click on the Show Additional Info
button to familiarize yourself with the definitions for each value and the rating scale.
• Add comments describing how you performed against each of the Values are required in the Employee Comments
section.
• To help determine your overall section rating for Values & Behaviors, you can click on the Calculate button in the
top right. This will average the ratings provided against all three (3) Values and can inform the overall rating you
provide for yourself.

9. Next is the Overall Rating and Comments section. This is your opportunity to select an overall performance rating
for 2022, and in the Employee Comments section, describe how you performed throughout the year – including
your contributions and impact.
• First, ensure you have rated yourself and provided comments in the Goals and the Values & Behaviors sections
• Next, on the home page click on the Show Additional Info button to familiarize yourself with the definitions for
each value and the rating scale.

• Click on the Edit button in the Overall Rating and Comments section
• Select an Employee Rating from the drop-down menu
• Provide your comments in the text box and click Save

10. The final step is to submit your completed self-evaluation to your manager
• If you are not ready to submit, navigate back out to the home page
• When you are ready to share the self-evaluation with your manager, click Submit at the top right – this must be
done to ensure your manager receives your review

11. Once submitted to your manager the Employee Self-Evaluation task will show complete. Next your manager will
work on completing their portions of the evaluation and set up a time to discuss your 2022 performance. They will
then submit their review to you through Oracle for your review and acknowledgment.

12. The final step in the annual review process is Employee Sign-Off. This section will open in the self-evaluation
template only after your manager submits their evaluation.

• You will need to acknowledge receipt of the review. If you have any final comments you wish to provide
before submitting your final evaluation, please provide them in the comments box.
