types serve as ways of expressing and resolving personal conflicts, also how to use strategies in linking
textual information, repairing, enhancing communication public speaking, emphasis markers in persuasive
texts, different forms of modals, reflexive and intensive pronouns.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD: The learner composes a short but powerful persuasive text using a
variety of persuasive techniques and devices.

(1313-1375). One of the most influential Italian writers
of Middle Ages. He was considered a “Father of Italian
Literature” one of his famous work is “Decameron”.

It was originally published in the “Decameron” in


1353. Translation by Mark Musa and Peter Bondanella.

There was once in Florence a young man named
Federigo. The son of Messer Filippo Alberighi,
renowned above all other men Tuscanay for his
