Welcome to the Arts 6 Self-Learning Module on Audio-Visual Art !
This module was collaboratively designed, developed, and reviewed by
educators from Schools Division Office of Pasig City headed by its Officer-In-Charge
Schools Division Superintendent, Ma. Evalou Concepcion A. Agustin in partnership
with the Local Government of Pasig through its mayor, Honorable Vico Sotto.
The writers utilized the standards set by the K to 12 Curriculum using the Most
Essential Learning Competencies (MELC) while overcoming their personal, social,
and economic constraints in schooling.
This learning material hopes to engage the learners into guided and
independent learning activities at their own pace and time. Further, this also aims
to help learners acquire the needed 21st century skills especially the 5 Cs namely:
Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking and Character while
taking into consideration their needs and circumstances.
In addition to the material in the main text, you will also see this box in the
body of the module:
As a facilitator you are expected to orient the learners on how to use this module.
You also need to keep track of the learners' progress while allowing them to manage
their own learning. Moreover, you are expected to encourage and assist the learners
as they do the tasks included in the module.

This module was designed to provide you with fun and meaningful
opportunities for guided and independent learning at your own pace and time. You
will be enabled to process the contents of the learning material while being an
active learner.

Video as an art form and product has become so popular in delivering and
exchanging information, messages, or telling stories to wide audiences. Video
making or recording became part of informing and entertaining people using
different choice of devices with wide selection of software and platform for
production.
As a learner, we can also share our thoughts and other content you want to
show even just using your phone, tablet, or computer. If you are creating a video
inserting sounds or music with it, you are doing audio-visual art. It is a
combination of visual art with sounds or music; it can be a film, an animation, a
documentary, or an art-video recording.
Creating or taking a Video
Video Recording is an electronic medium for the recording, copying, playback,
broadcasting, and show of moving visual images. It also refers to a moving picture
of a television production made by photographing.
Video recording became more accessible today. Mobile phones, besides having
continuous improvement in quality of resolution, it is a very convenient device.
There are a lot of mobile video editing application that we can download that
enables us to edit and improve videos without transferring to a computer.

voice-over recordings, and audio.

To edit a raw video footage, incorporated with sounds and music, we need to
use computer software. Through video editing software we can add transitions that
makes it as professional-looking. Adding text, sound, effects, and music gives
interaction to the viewer.
Mood in Color
In photography and video recording, both uses light and different color
affecting the way you see certain people and objects. These are elements of art that
matters significantly in producing audio-visual art like video recording. Colors
convey specific moods when used properly in photography and video recording.
Color is made of light. The way that you see colors are the outcome of the way
light bounces off an object. It brings different emotions. Red, yellow, and orange
belong to a group called warm colors. They are called such because it is the color
of the sun, sunlight, fire, and other warm objects. These colors likewise make food
appetizing.
Blue, green, and purple are called cool colors. These are the colors of the sea,
ocean, sky, and fields.

Light is very important in taking pictures and shooting videos. Have
you noticed the way the flash setting in your camera affects the quality of
your photos?
Take a picture of an object outside your home. Then go back inside
and take a picture of it again.
