Solution:

= 30÷3 = 10

So, no. of snowballs made by Danny = 5 x30
= 30÷5 = 6
Thus, Charles made more snowballs.

2. Amy has 72 sweets in a bag. She keeps 4 of them for herself and shares the rest with
friends. How many sweets will she give to her friends?

Solution:
No. of sweets in a bag = 72

Fraction of sweets kept for herself = 4

So, no. of sweets kept for herself = 4 x 72

= 72÷4 = 18
No. of sweets given to her friends = 72-18 = 54
3. Samuel had 24 dollars. He spent one-fourth of it. How much does he have left?
Solution:

Amount of money Samuel had = $ 24

Amount of money he spent = 4 x $ 24

= 24÷4 = $ 6
Amount of money left = 24 – 6 = $ 18
4. There are 30 students in Daniel’s class. One-third of them have chosen Spanish as their
